MOD Pizza — Restaurant in Phoenix

I wish I knew the names of the three young men who made my awful day a good one. It was around 10PM last night (Saturday, Dec 17th, 2022) that I showed up. I had finished visiting my grandmother for one of the last times before she passes away. I wasn't particularly hungry but forced myself to eat something.

I was greeted by one of the friendliest young men who, without hesitation, made my order. I asked him how his day was and he shared with me a humorous anecdote about his day. Then his co-worker chimed in with another story and I forgot about all my problems.

I told them a bit about myself and shared with them my unfortunate day and one of them offered me a cake for free. I agreed. They were very kind and friendly with me.

The third young man appeared from the kitchen and made a very funny remark that I can't for the life of me remember. I thanked him because I needed the uplift.

As I left with my delicious pizza, my drink, and my cake they smiled and said "come back any time!". I wanted to call the general manager. That's how much I appreciated what they did for me. I only regret that I didn't get their names. That is my one mistake I will regret probably for the rest of my life.

This was a terrible experience. My friend and I went to this location today and ordered two gluten friendly pizzas. The worker told me that she had gluten friendly cheese that she could put on my pizza. I was confused but assumed she meant that there was less cross contamination with this cheese so I agreed. I also asked if it was real mozzarella and she said yes. Upon checking out, I asked the cashier if it was real cheese and she said no, that it was vegan cheese. I asked her if they could remake it and she stated that they could just sprinkle some real cheese on top. I said that I was sorry but I really don’t like vegan cheese and I asked them if they could remake it. They finally did and I had my pizza 10 minutes later. My friend had also ordered his and had not gotten it. The pizza that was clearly his came out of the oven; the worker boxed it up and gave it to someone else. That customer quickly returned and said that it was not his pizza. They set it aside and proceeded to remake my friend’s pizza without saying anything to us. We asked if it was almost done and they lied to us, saying that it was just taking a long time to cook and the dough was sticking to the pan. We waited 40 minutes for our 2 pizzas and were late to where we were going, even though there were hardly any other customers even...

Just left this location without even ordering my food. I walked in and there was no one in line. There was one man at the counter being helped by one of the two employees that were visible behind the counter. I waited to be greeted or helped for about 3-5 minutes. And no one said one word to me. The one employee was helping the man as I said, the other was folding pizza boxes. Which she had a very tall stack of pizza boxes already stacked up. So not sure why she was doing that when customers are just standing there waiting to be greeted. I can be patient with this, so I just waited. Nothing. The two girls were talking to each other in Spanish, so I couldn’t understand them. And no one greeted me. The last straw was watching the girl who could have helped me, stop folding her pizza boxes, and use her stack of pizza boxes as a shield to be on her phone. Right in front of me. Never greeting me, and then using her pizza box tower as a shield to ignore me and be on her pink cased phone. So I walked out, and spent my money elsewhere for lunch. Those girls were incredibly rude to ignore me, and then she got on her phone… not even hiding it well. Sad. They get 2 starts instead of one because I have eaten here before and the pizza is...
