I ordered a medium 2 topping pizza at 5:30pm. I was told "45-60 minutes". At 7pm I called to check the status. I would spend the next 30 minutes on and off the phone attempting to get any update and eventually just begging for someone to cancel my order.
Initially I pressed option 2, the "order already existing" option but I was disconnected. I called back and pressed 3, the "place an order" option, of course someone answers that line. They were friendly until I asked if they could give me a status on my order. I was told I needed to press option 2, I advised him when I did that I was disconnected. He told me to hang up and press 5 for the manager. I followed his directions, but again was disconnected. I called back, option 3, explained to another man the situation up to this point. He said he would forward me to the managers line, but again I was disconnected. Called back a 3rd and 4th time with the same outcome, disconnected.
Oddly, on the 5th or 6th time (at this point I lost count) a lady answered option 3, I told her I wanted my order cancelled. She asked for my name, she put me on hold for about 3 minutes. She came back and apologized that she couldn't get ahold of the store, I told her me either which is why I am done and want my order cancelled. She insisted on transferring me, I was again disconnected.
I was so fed up at this point I just waited for the delivery to just happen, thinking the nightmare would end there. At 7:45 there was a knock at the door, yes 2 hours and 15 minutes after I ordered and told 45 to 60 minutes.
The delivery guy was swaying back and forth like he was drunk and shaking like he was strung out. He couldn't maintain eye contact and was slurring his words. He had me sign and handed me the pizza, which I got inside and realized it was the wrong pizza!! Thankfully, I was able to catch him. He did apologize and went to his car for the right pizza!
Moral of my review: I will never order from this...
Read moreWe ordered 4 items in the papa pairings deal. 2 out of the 4 were absolutely terrible (to us they were not edible) and the 3 rd was just okay... Not the quality we usually receive from Papa John's. The 4th item was great (as usual!)
The 2 Papa Dilla's were highly disappointing they were made on thick pizza crust then just folded in half ..i still have the items as like I said we were disappointed and they did not look appetizing at all. If the store was out ot the ingredients or any items needed to make them , they could have called to let me know after they reviewed my order and i would have ordered something different. The other 2 items ordered in the deal were a medium pepperoni pizza ( and this item was "just okay" it was as if the pizza had been cooked tilted or something since most of the sauce and toppings were on side of the pizza. The 4th item was the brownies and those were delicious! No complaints on my brownies.. the other items ordered was a large thin crust pizza with pineapple and Canadian bacon . I did not order it to be half cheese and half toppings but is that is how i received, it. I have pictures of all the items. I typically do not complain to restaurants and have not ever had to submit a complaint to papa John's because up until not i have had nothing but exceptional service and great quality food items . However this is my first time ordering from this location, so i dont know if it is a location thing or just a (🤞) one time mess up. Read moreWhen I pulled up the place was empty of customers, all except for the two young Caucasian Men workers. I thought to myself naaaah, I don't trust it. So I left my car parked in front of the store and walked a few doors down to Panda Express. After walking in and looking around, I thought maybe I should move my car down and park outside the door so I left out. When I got back to my car I notice one of the workers from Papa John's coming out to vape, or smoke a cigarette. I spoke , he spoke and complimented me on my Car. He was so friendly that I thought I'd just go ahead and order anyway 🤷🏾♂️! So went inside and ordered a large 🍕. The friendly chit chat went on for the duration of my order being prepared, and until the time I left. Even a recommendation of the pink lemonade, and vodka from Walgreens... However here's where it gets weirder ! One of the worker says to the other. " You didn't for get that extra cheese did you 😁 !?" The coworker then says "Nope 😏!" ... This was weird because I never asked for ..."extra cheese". Then the worker that took my order looks at me as if I'd find it to be awesome that he favored me extra cheese. Saying to me something to the affect. "Gotta Have That Extra Cheese 😁!" THANKS ! I said .... Can't recall if I actually stopped by Walgreens on the way home, but rushed home with the Pizza.
Sadly to say my Daughter must've gotten the " extra cheese" , because she threw up the pizza throughout the night ... Can't say I didn't go back after that. I just make sure that I don't go back at night, and order over the phone...
