I HATE to leave bad reviews but man it was our last dinner of this trip & I am HIGHLY disappointed:( it started ok. The place has a cool vibe. I did mention in my reservation notes that I had severe allergies to animals & the host said she didn’t believe they allowed them & hasn’t seen them for the duration of her employment so far. However, there was a couple behind us that asked if the heated patio is pet friendly in the winter. The host said she’d ask & came back to say that the manager stated the dining room, bar, and patio are pet friendly. HIGHLY disappointed in this due to health code standards & “fine dining” atmosphere. That’s just disgusting/inappropriate honestly & they should be penalized. Next, the server was very dismissive. I asked him what I can eat with my allergies & he did help a TINY bit after having to prod him about it. I asked for a recommendation & I was considering getting what he mentioned but didn’t confirm since my friend wasn’t ready. But when he came to take our order he took my menu without asking/confirming & starting to walk away… he was very short with us & would run away after saying one thing. It was so bad that we’d have to get kinda loud to get his attention if we even did (failed attempts). Idk what his rush was for, it wasn’t busy AND they have a server assistant lol… I myself also try to interact the least amount with customers but in a tasteful respectful manor where I’m still doing my job appropriately. I get we all have our own style of serving but it wasn’t appropriate especially for the atmosphere/pricing. We still tipped 20% because we’re servers ourselves but he wasn’t good at all I’m sorry to say. The food was absolutely awful too. The appetizer didn’t have some of the ingredients the menu said it did & the waiter denied it having such things… strange. No flavor at all in that filet carpaccio. My dish was absolutely flavorless idk how you can mess up an oil sauce but they did.. & my friends dish seemed to be a frozen alfredo sauce, given its watered down nature, though it was supposed to be vodka sauce which always has a tomato base yet it was white…. Again very strange. The only good thing that came out of this restaurant was the bread, it was AMAZING. The salads that came with dinner were ok. We did ask the server if the weird vodka sauce dish was the right dish & asked if the appetizer was missing stuff as briefly mentioned but we didn’t complain & weren’t rude at all. We literally paid for the food without question. It just sucks because we took not even 5 bites collectively on our app & entrees but & I spent $60 to get seemingly rude definitely not fine dining service & worse than Applebees grade food… we’re on our way home from the trip now which is why I’m finally getting to leave the review because it’s still bothering us a day later. if we didn’t have a show to get to that night we would’ve spoken to a manager. The overwhelmingly good reviews are crazy shocking to me. It could’ve just been a bad night who knows but that food was nothing to ever speak of again. Maybe if management sees this she can reach out & potentially refund us for the meal. Suuuuuuper upsetting. I travel to eat & it was our only dinner in Phoenix so I took my choice very seriously & chose you...
Read moreOk, so I booked a table at Tutti Santi Ristorante by Nina for my wife and I using Open Table for Saturday February 25th. This was our first "special date night" my wife and I have been able to share together in, well, quite some time. "Special" basically refers to intentional together time enjoying one of our favorite things, hopefully, a wonderful dining experience where we can just chill and enjoy each other, good food, good wine, and good service. We both cherish these few and sometimes too far in between opportunities because as a lot of people I know do, we get sucked into our business and when we stop to take a breathe, months have passed without our "date night." 6:45 dinner reservation, arrived early expecting to possibly sit in the bar and wait for our table but were immediately greated and led to our table by "Mama"( we affectionately named her that as she appeared to possibly be the matriarch of the family) I made the reservations online through OpenTable. Under special requests I expressed that this was our very important date night and we were excited to be coming to your restaurant, looking forward to a great meal and a wonderful recommendation for our first bottle of Pinot Noir. I mention this because as we approached the table, there was an unopened bottle of Pinot Noir that Mama explained was a wonderful wine not on the wine list but she was convinced that we would enjoy. A very nice touch obviously indicating that they do pay special attention and actually read the notes received electronically with the reservation. Next we were promptly greeted by our server Dan. Dan turned out to be exactly the type of server we would, and if you're looking for a wonderful dining experience, you would hope to have. It was obvious he knew the menu as well as the specials inside and out, offered excellent recommendations, and fully understood and appreciated the type of experience we were hoping for. He provided us the opportunity to take our time and thoroughly enjoy our evening; he was attentive yet not rushing us. The food was amazing, my wife had the rolled lasagna for which she is still raving about what 3 weeks later. I had the Fratello francese which was amazing as well. And I can't forget to mention the calamari and the ravioli a La Nina both of which were, well, both my wife and I agree that the fried calamari was some of the best we've ever had and the ravioli was absolutely wonderful! For dessert? You can't go to an Italian restaurant and not try their cannoli! And in tune with the rest of the entire meal, it was amazing! Absolutely stuffed and three quarters of the way through our second bottle of wine the owner Roberto came out and personally greeted us to make sure everything went perfectly and that we had a great night. So, Roberto, Dan,"Mama", and to the entire kitchen staff and service staff working in the background,THANK YOU for providing my wife and I a wonderful wonderful evening! We will definitely, and are already telling anyone and everyone who will listen, that they need to come visitTutti Santi! And if you've taken the time to read this book long review!...
Read moreWe called several times for 2 days trying to get a reservation. We kept getting a recording, so we decided to go in. They were booked solid, but the hostess said if we waited 30 minutes in the bar, she would seat us. This was fine. We finally got our seats and waited about 15 minutes for our server John to show up for the first time. He took our drink and appetizer order and left for about 15 more minutes. A younger table runner did come by frequently and fill our water glasses and bring us some VERY burnt garlic bread. It was black. By this time we were getting pretty thirsty for those drinks and a little upset. John finally came back with 2 salads, but not our drinks. We kept seeing him just standing over by the hostess station, which was even more frustrating. The tables next to us had a great server- a tall older gentleman that seemed very attentive and constantly returned to his tables. Our table decor was dusty- a cheesy fake candle that hadn't been dusted in perhaps years. Finally I recieved my glasses of wine and our food. I got the tortellini panna rosa. It was NOT good. There was a foul smell to it that we couldn't put our finger on. My boyfriend got the gnocchi. He's had it before, and he said the quality had definitely dropped. I couldn't finish mine, so we flagged down John for our check and informed him that we needed to leave to get to a show we had tickets for. He left and NEVER returned to our table! We kept attempting to flag him down. But he continued to hover near the hostess station and stare at the wall. We finally got so upset that we went up there and asked the hostess our waiters name- and if she could get him to give us our check. John came out and tossed it in front of us- NO APOLOGY for forgetting about us or anything- he just walked away! My boyfriend has NEVER left a zero tip before, but we had to. He was incredibly rude and our visit was an incredible disappointment. I love Italian, but there's much better options out there than this. Get rid of John- he does not...
