I give this place only a 1 star because it failed to be everything I look for in an establishment. I live a few blocks south of this location and I was hoping it would become a regular spot to frequent... but I am sad to report this is the first and only time I will go. #1 Ambiance: I wish I could have seen my face when I walked in and realized it was nothing more than an Italian version of IHOP. Right. Down to the plastic water glasses. #2 Staff: We were greeted by a pleasant hostess and sat right away. Our waitress was friendly and the service was basic. It did take time to get waited on but we were not in a hurry so NBD. #3 Drinks: The water came right away, but for the menu prices it was weird to drink from plastic glasses. We each ordered a glass of wine, and then another. Probably would have been nice if our second glass was the the same as the first. There was a clear taste difference. #4 Food: The pre-meal bread was yummy. We also ordered a bruchetta trio.... I recommend you stick to the combination you know. For the main courses, as u can see from the pic, 2 people could not finish either plate. We ended up switching and still didn't find one we liked. That means we barely ate 1/4 of each entree. As Bryan Valdivia put it "The entree that I purchased sounded better in the description of the menu than it actually tasted." #5 Redeeming moment: for this I upgraded to 🌟🌟 because of the manager. He saw we clearly did not enjoy the meal and I commend him for paying attention and discussing our experience and expectations. UNSOLICITED he brought the check back and included a friend's and family discount. MUCH APPRECIATED! especially since our bill was over 70$ There are a lot of great reviews so I tell everyone they should not listen to any single voice as the end all/be all... go and try for yourself. This is only my story as it applies to me. -Clayton

Surprisingly good. I was expecting a chain with non-authentic Italian cuisine but I was wrong. This restaurant exceeded expectations. The menu is extremely large with all of the Italian staples and then some. I ordered the pasta marinara, which could match up against anyone’s. They honored my request for heavy sauce. The sauce was zesty, with a nice consistency and just the right amount of sweetness. The portion size was adequate. The accompanying basil was fresh and added a nice touch. The side of sausage was good. The sausage was flavorful but was cooked a little too long, which took out some flavor and the juiciness. The server was friendly and extremely attentive. The prices were cheaper than most of the Italian restaurants in the valley. I will definitely go back here.

When you eat at a place by yourself and think “Hmm I oughta take my mom here” then you know it’s a winner. Apparently there are lot’s of locations and for what may be a chain, this fairs very well. The Calzone was cooked perfectly and the huge thin crust dome was fun to pick at. I wasn’t a fan of how they did the ricotta in there as it had no flavor and was used sparingly, but I would order it again with some preferences mentioned to the cooks. For the price, it is a very good calzone. The Portobello mushroom starter was marinated in Balsamic vinegar and with the loads of tomatoes, you would think it would taste too acidic. But it was very enjoyable. I like this place. I will be back if I am in the area for sure.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Words can barely describe the phenomenal experience I had at Babbo Italian Eatery, and much of it can be attributed to their incredible staff, specifically the Manager, Drew.

From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed into what I can only describe as a culinary sanctuary. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable Italian meal.

The food was nothing short of miraculous. Each dish seemed to have its own story to tell, woven together by the threads of authentic Italian flavors. We couldn’t ask for better taste and presentation.

However, the crown jewel of our dining experience was the exemplary service led by Drew. Attentive doesn’t even begin to cover it; he was in tune with our needs from the start, so much so that we never had to ask for refills or extra accompaniments. His level of attentiveness was so impeccable that it almost felt choreographed.

We did encounter a minor hiccup with one of our dishes, but the way Drew handled it transformed a potential negative into an outright positive. He was swift to apologize and rectified the situation immediately. What’s more, he graciously offered us a complimentary dessert or an alternative dish. Honestly, the food was so sublime that we hardly remembered the hiccup after that.

Drew’s exceptional service didn’t just fix an issue; it elevated our entire evening. I’ve never been happier with a ‘mistake’—it was as if the universe conspired for it to happen just so we could witness what true customer service feels like.

In a heartbeat, I would return to Babbo Italian Eatery. Drew and the team have not only set the bar for fine Italian dining but also reminded me that the essence of a great restaurant lies not just in the food but in the people who bring it to life.

Thank you so much, Drew. Your mastery in hospitality turned what could have been a simple night out into a dining experience we won’t...

I hate 1 star ratings, but the experience was horrible. Part of this was our fault but nobody did anything to assist. Arrived to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday. Served reasonably quick with bread and our drinks. The issues began when we ordered.

My girlfriend ordered a pasta we assumed didn’t contain meat in the sauce. The menu didn’t state it contained the meat. Just wanted a vegetarian pasta. It’s our fault - but we assumed the statement of no mushrooms sausage and just sauce with peppers covered that. Weren’t mad at the server just irritated but understood we played a partial role.

Fast forward to maybe 15 minutes later, still no pasta. Fast forward to another 10-15 minutes later. Server comes back and states it’s not coming out even though she’s been asking. We asked for the check and promptly left. At which point they got the 1 pasta dish removed from the bill (which we never ate) and took 20% off our bill for inconvenience. Come on.

You could have comped the other pasta and I would have gladly paid for the drinks. Or some other option. I get serving isn’t an easy or fun position but you could of said sorry again - maybe you could of asked if we wanted an extra glass of wine....or maybe just refill my water which you never did 1 time in the hour I was there.

The pasta dish i actually did get to eat wasn’t awful. So if you’re looking for a food review there you go. I don’t know about anything else though.

We’re pretty easy to please. We’re pretty patient and will go back to a place with bad service and good food or vice versa. But this place was terrible. Terrible. No thanks. I’ll head back over to 7th street where we had so so service but from a nice guy at a busy place with good food.

Obviously a solid birthday dinner I booked....
