Rude bartender.
Why would a place with such a large selection of beers and wines, good prices and a good vibe be dead on a Friday night? Found the answer.
Shouldnât be hard to fill the 20 or so seats in the place.
After visiting last night in a group of 4 we bought some drinks and played some games. The bartender interacted with us minimally but laughed with some of the jokes of the game we were playing. The whole experience was excellent and my friends and I made plans to come back and try trivia and other weekly activities.
Since there is no food served at this bar we went to go get some pizza. I know we are in the a not so nice part of Phoenix, but no business in the mile walking radius had restrooms. While waiting for a pizza across the street I went back in to Rewined use the restroom and made eye contact with the bartender and used the restroom.
After leaving and eating my pizza and maybe 30 more min passed I needed to go again. The pizza place did not have a restroom so I went back into Rewined and the bartender confronts me with âthis isnât a public restroomâ.
Iâm floored.
I was a paying customer less than an hour ago and I cannot use the restroom at a place that just served me alcohol. We were trying to sober up for a drive home by eating and having water after our beers and that was the response? Set your customers up for DUIs?
Myself and my friends will never visit again after that interaction.
This is why your place is slow on weekends. This is why you have to have a gimmick every night of the week to try to draw in customersâŚ. You hire rude people to work your establishment.
Lost 4 return customers in 1 comment. Iâve worked retail and with the pubic for 20 years and Iâve never told anyone that patronized a place I worked something like that. Ever.
I know good help is hard to find nowadays so maybe this is a teachable moment for your bartender that was working...
Read moreWe stumbled into Rewind Beer and Wine Bar by total accidentâand honestly, it felt like finding a secret level in an old-school video game. While waiting for our table at Glai Baan, we were sent over for a drink and a visit with Sophie, and letâs just say: best plot twist ever.
Walking into Rewind is like stepping straight into the â90s, in the best possible way. The bar top is covered in Pogsâyes, actual Pogsâwhich immediately sets the tone: this place is here to serve drinks and core childhood memories. Add in the neon signs, vintage posters, and throwback playlists, and itâs basically a time machine with a killer drink menu.
Speaking ofâwhich is massive. One of the largest selections of craft beer, wine, and cider Iâve seen in Phoenix. And the games? Board games, card games, random â90s nostalgiaâitâs like your childhood basement grew up, got cooler, and learned how to mix drinks.
Trivia Night on Tuesdays is already calling my name. Whether youâre passing time before dinner or posting up for the night, Rewind is a total win. Come for the drinks, stay for the vibes, and prepare to be hit with the most fun kind of...
Read moreWe came to Rewined Wine Bar to celebrate my friendâs birthday, but unfortunately, the experience was incredibly disappointing. My friend had recently lost her physical driver's license but had a valid Arizona Mobile ID â a legal and government-issued form of identification. Despite this, the bartender refused to accept it and insisted we leave.
What made the situation worse was her rude and dismissive attitude. We understand the importance of compliance, but thereâs a way to communicate policies respectfully â especially when the ID in question is valid and widely accepted, even at airports.
We were simply trying to celebrate and have a good time, but the tone and treatment we received made for a very negative start to our evening. Definitely not the welcoming or accommodating atmosphere we...
