Right when I walked in the music and atmosphere engulfed me! I was immediately thrilled with my choice. We were immediately seated and offered drinks. My family was seated and started ordering their drinks. My sister in law had a sunset margarita that tasted like oj and cranberry! It was a beautiful presentation as well. The colors of the margarita looked exciting! I had an Arnold palmer and my husband had Pepsi. We ordered a fiesta platter and it was enough to start the 6 of us right! The nachos and quesadilla were my favorites but the wings were not too shabby either. Out food came out hot and quick! My husband ordered the seafood enchiladas with crab and shrimp in it & rice w beans! His plate was left completely empty! He gave it an 8/10 since the rice needed seasoning. I had the "make your own combination plate" with 2 beef tacos, 1 fish taco, rice & beans. It 🔥FIRE AF🔥! The fish was a flakey white fish and it was so good I didnt even need a lemon. Fresh ingredients with great flavor! 9/10 is what I rate it! My sister in law had a red chimichangas and it was HUGE! She could barely eat half of it! It looked delicious. My father had shrimp cocktail and a bean and cheese tostada. He said the shrimp cocktail was one of the best hes had at a Mexican restaurant and that he would come back just to eat that again! He rated it a 9/10. He ate his tostada too fast for him to rate it or for me to snap a pic. So I'm going to count it as he loved it! 🤣 Our waitress was great! She definitely made sure we all left happy & full! The chips and salsa were delicious, I ended up using the orange salsa on all of my tacos. We all enjoyed it and will definitely be returning to this location for another great experience! Thank you RITA'S for your great service & amazing food! We reccomend this restaurant to any one who is looking for an authentic Mexican meal in the Phoenix area. Enjoy it , because...
Read moreWe have gone to Rita's for years now. It has always been good. Yesterday we went to eat. I always get the same thing Rita's parrillada longaniza is included we always get it changed (substitute) for a 1 piece of chicken no problem. Yesterday the waitress said they don't do that anymore (ok that's fine just charge me extra ) I said. I don't understand why if the longaniza is more expensive than a thin sliced piece of chicken that I'm asking for to get replaced for instead of the longaniza.I don't eat pork that's the only reason I ask for the substitution. The parrillada for 2 people is $45 including the longaniza so if I take it off you dont take any money off or you (don't substitute either)but in the price the longaniza is factored in. I do understand that's a new rule that's why I said ( just charge me extra). Maybe next time specify it on your menu as you do with the drinks (no refills for Horchata) which had 80%Ice and 20% Horchata. When they did bring our food out they forgot to bring the two plates of rice and beans that it comes with. After a little while we asked one of the waitresses about not getting them. They brought it out until we were all done eating our food.We asked for a to-go box to put the two plates of rice and beans. The waitress told me (they thought you guys had got the plates of rice and beans) but after we told them we didn't they still took a long time to bring them. Were all done eating. Also lastly you guys give tiny chip baskets now rather than the regular plastic chip baskets you guys used to have . We asked for more chips on the check they charged us extra. When two of the new tiny baskets you guys give will fill up one of the regular chip baskets you guys used to give. This is just what I expired yesterday.I used to love going to this place. Honestly considering everything it might not be my top choice anymore. Maybe one day I'll try...
Read moreWas very excited to try out this place. Had previously seeked Google for new places to try out. Came across Rita's Mexican Food. I was amazed of the reviews and ratings plu pictures. Thought to my self, yep this is it!! I recommended this place to my family based on google. Little did I know, it was the worse mistake. Worse service. The frozen margaritas were watered down. No salt or lemon on the rim. Asked for 3 chicken enchiladas NO ONIONS. I get 2 enchiladas, told them I had asked for 3, waitress says "yea I know we'll bring it in a different plate" really? Fine. Plus the 3rd enchilada served separate was full of onions. Disgusting!!! Asked for 2 orders of chicken flauta for kids. I get them PLAIN. Just the tacos straight out of the fryer no toppings!!! Family member asked for fish to be served with beans and extra lettuce. Gets a fish with rice and like 3 pieces of shredded lettuce. Again, key the waitress know and says yea itll come in a different plate. Like why??? Tortilla were missing too. Two plates ordered came with side of tortillas but only got one order. Lastly, ordered a cheese enchilada for my toddler, never got to our table, baby fell asleep when they finally delivered it. Worse service ever. NEVER coming again and will definitely not recommend...
