I have been eating at Sardellas for the last 20 years and have LOVED their pizza, Wings, and service... until now. I have had two completely messed up deliveries in a row - and when I called to see what could be done the Manager Robert (43rd and Cactus) started getting into arguments with me over the phone. He could not find my order I placed 2 hours before. He called me a liar when I said I had no receipt or order # on the box (we even dug through the trash for any sign of an order). He started to almost yell at me and said he could not do anything since I was continuing to talk to him on the phone . I love Sardellas but if this how the new management is treating customers I'll have to pass.
I've been in management the last 30 years and Robert needs a little sensitivity/anger management classes

Today I spoke with the GM of this Sardella's location - Joe. ..
He not only was aware of this review and my issues - but was the initial Manager I spoke with on the first issue. To any Regional management that may view this update: Joe is the perfect example that you need for Sardella's and your management.
He explained the process and apologized for the way it was handled... Altogether the conversation was under ten minutes - but it restored my faith in Sardella's.

Read moreIf I could give this place a zero, I would. Not necessarily for the food, but for the customer service. We never got the opportunity to taste the food. It was our first time in Arizona. We stayed at a hotel that was less than 2 miles away from Sardella's. We got in pretty late (9:30pm) and by the time we were settled, I called and placed an order at 10:13pm. The person that took my order didn't mention or seem bothered about a delivery being placed that late. If she would have mentioned it to me, I would have gladly thanked her and sought other options. But she took my order; 1 large pepperoni and sausage pizza and 36 boneless bbq wings. She said it was fine and would take 45 minutes. At 11:13pm, we called and they said the delivery person had just left. We called again at 11:37pm and they told us there was no record of an order for us! So, they wasted an hour and a half of our time. Our kids were tired and hungry. My husband ended up getting back into the car and going out to get something for all the kids. I think they didn't want to fill our order, so they "misplaced" it. Like I said, if they would have just been honest with me, they would have saved me time and them this negative review! First impressions...
Read moreI'm going to admit that, although we've been eating Sardellas pizza for a few years, I never to considered it to be the best... Not bad but not amazing either. In the last probably 5 or six times we've ordered it's been pretty darn good. Fresh ingredients and lovely crunchy, chewy crust. My husband and I like two different ones...we order sausage, mushroom, spinach and meatball, tomato, ricotta.
The must try item besides the pizza is the boneless wings. I like the spicy bbq and my husband gets the honey mustard. The spicy BBQ is... Wait for it... Actually spicy... But it not a one note spice... It's a sweet, tomatey, seasoned spicy. They are my favorite wings.
A couple of other things.. If you join their rewards club it doesn't take much to get a free pizza and they give you a $15 dollar credit on a large pizza for the reward which is the pizza plus a topping. Plus they regularly have pizza deals and specials.
Also, Sardellas, if you end up reading this review, please bring back the spinach broccoli salad. That was one of my favorite things. Also, in the event you've made any changes recently that changed the quality of the pizza please continue because we're kind...
