Went to this Starbucks on 32nd and Lincoln this morning (Store #16299). New store manager Derek was taking the day off (Saturday morning, seriously?), and it showed by the service and the staff's overall attitude. Starbucks product is always the same like McDonald's; only reason I go back is consistency and service. Ordered food (oven was broken)...no problem; ordered my usual coffee; albeit a very crowded morning I was not asked my name. When the coffee came up (Andrew set a coffee on the counter and walked away into the back room without calling out anything while others stood around wondering whose coffee that was). I asked for help and Kyle (who had a horrible attitude and explained he was very busy) whose coffee this was since nobody's name was on it. Andrew and Kyle and the girl who took my order must have missed Starbucks policy's and procedures or chose not to follow them this morning since there was not a manager. Read moreOn June 8, 2024, we were on a 3 day vacation at the JW Marriot Camelback Resort in Phoenix, Arizona. Although the JW Marriot Resort had their own onsite Starbucks, my husband and I decided to go the next nearest Starbuck on the E-bikes we rented from the resort. The Starbucks location was at 3165 E. Lincoln Dr., AZ 85016. Caddy corner from the Starbucks, I misjudged the curb and fell to the ground suffering abrasions to the left elbow. When we entered the Starbucks at about 9:00 a.m., I requested a wet paper towel to clean my wound. I was very impressed by a couple of the staff members who insisted that wet paper towel was not enough and immediately took out their first aid kit and assisted in nursing my wound. I was very impressed by their human kindness. I believe there are time that one's kindness should be acknowledged. I thank those staff members, who ever they are, for their extended courtesy and assistance. My comment is mostly for staff and management. Today, I waited 15 mins for my coffee and watched everyone who ordered after me receive their drink. I ordered a drink with cold foam which has a special lid and I watched the barista go into the back room at least 5 times trying to find the correct lid. I finally had to ask them to give me my drink without a lid. Another barista then attempts to put a regular lid on the drink which completely defeats the purpose of paying extra for the cold foam. I understand how busy this location is early in the morning. My issue is that the other baristas were aware that their fellow barista was struggling to find the correct lid and that I had been waiting for a while. Unfortunately, not one decided to help.
