I am frustrated with this Wendy's location. I went here about 9 months ago and had a horrible experience. I know this review is quite late but they kept me from writing it until now.
Upon entering their building, I could not figure out where to order. A cashier stared blankly at me and pointed to a corner across the store, lips unmoving, and stated "he who seeks the wendy shouldst rid himself of envy and talketh to mysterious figures who may not appeareth friendly." She opened her mouth, and a cloud of green smoke billowed across the dining area. At this point I couldn't see a thing! That is not the way you should treat paying customers!!!
I crawled along the floor of the aisles to avoid inhaling any toxic fumes. It felt like I was on the ground for hours. The smoke eventually cleared, but the lights appeared to be off. I could not see a thing as I walked in circles, hoping to see someone, anyone. I walked until the soles of my shoes tore. In the corner of my eye, I saw a light flicker. It was far in the distance, but was the first I had seen in what felt like days.
As I inched closer I saw a shriveled mass wearing a Wendy's uniform. Something felt wrong, though; I could not read any of the text on this uniform. The Wendy's logo was upside down on the hat and shirt. His name tag was the strangest part though. Every time I managed to read a letter, the whole thing would change. (not ADA compliant)
He looked as though he was shaking and shivering. He could not sit still and turned away from me. I called out to him, asking if he could take my order-- no response. I cautiously stepped towards him once again. I could not see his face still (HORRIBLE customer service). When I came within around 3 feet of him he lunged towards me. It sounded like he was growling. (Surely Wendy's would not violate Arizona Health Codes and hire an animal right?)
I was frozen with fear. He finally revealed his face. It was wrinkly, orange, and covered with warts that oozed purple pus. He started to cough. Through his coughs he asked for my order. (unsanitary) I thanked him, as I was starving at this point, and asked him if I could please get a strawberry frosty. Suddenly the color drained from his face and his pupils dilated. He collapsed onto the floor, so I reached out to grab him. Before I could react, though, his limp body rose into the air and started to float away from me. I could sense that he wanted me to follow him.
He continued to move through the darkness. His warts now emitted green light instead of purple pus, making him the only light fixture in the whole building (unsafe). The floor turned from slippery linoleum into sharp rocks. My feet started to scrape and bleed. I crawled through bushes of sharp thorns that tore my clothes open. The pain was unbearable and I could barely breathe.
He turned towards me, grabbed my arm, and yelled “The Strawberry Frosty has been discontinued” He tightened his grip and growled again, so I whipped him off and fell to the ground. This time, it was made of all kinds of garbage: disgusting used forks covered in cheese, cockroaches hiding in napkins, and half empty soda cups. I grabbed a large plastic tray to protect myself from him. He started to throw his body against it which pushed me further into the pile of trash. The trash swallowed me and I started to lose my breath while suspended in the pool of discarded items. I kept sinking and accepted that I may die.
Finally, I reached the bottom. My feet pressed against a window that faced the parking lot. I could see the headlights of my car and hear chirping from the morning birds. I swam through slude to the door. I pulled it towards me but it wouldn’t budge; it was a push door. I threw myself against it and everything went black.
I woke up on the sidewalk covered in bruises. I found someone walking nearby and asked them for the date and time. They told me it was 6:30 am on May 6th, 2024. I was trapped in here for 9 months, forced to endure endless torture, and still didn't get my food. Wendys, you just...
Read moreI ordered 1 spicy chicken sandwich just the sandwich, not the combo. I ordered chicken nuggets, just chicken not the combo I was asked what else I needed. I said I need just a moment please, she scoffed and let out a big sigh. I could hear her frustration through the intercoms. I ordered a #2with a coke but then asked to change my order to the "#1 triple" still with the coke. She was able to adjust the order with no problem. I added an order of large frys.
I get to the window they tried to charge me for a frosty that I didn't order. The black girl who took my order interrupted the white girl that was taking my payment. I saw that she was trying to hand me a frosty and I immediately said I'm I didn't order that, I think you gave me the wrong order. As I began to hand the whole order back... The black girl said " well she already charged you for it, so you want it or not?" I said no! I did not order a frosty and if she already ran my card for it then that needs to be refunded. The black girl quickly refunded me for the frosty. it. She has a bad attitude about it. Hufing and scoffing the whole time. I told her " i know it took me a long time to make my order but your attitude is not necessary. She gave me the receipt for the refund but I was never given my original receipt. I only live about 6 minutes away so I left to go home to eat. I got home and discovered that I never got the chicken that I ordered... who knows if I paid for it. The girl taking the orders needs to figure out how to listen and even read orders back to customers so that this doesn't happen to other people. The food and drink that was received was fine, there was nothing wrong with it. I won't be back to this Wendy's location. The children running this place need...
Read moreIf I had an option to leave no stars, I would. After the experience my partner and I had last night, it was very unnecessary and unprofessional. The group that was working last night thought it would be a good idea to play games with the drive-thru guess we'll we were not pleased by that action at all. My partner started to order what he wanted. The girl stopped him and said to wait, so he did, and now another employee jumped on this time it was a male and he thought it would be funny to fake talk in Spanish and all you can hear is the other employees laughing in the background well the one on the mic is being very disrespectful I'm a Hispanic woman that speaks both languages very well and my partner African American that was ordering the food speaks perfect English for the employee to tell you want chicken just because he is black is not funny at all. I sent a complaint already, and I really hope someone will contact me about this matter. im very upset with the employees' actions last night. I really hope there is a recording of orders so someone can hear what happened. Another thing we asked him for a mangers name. Employee gave us the name Richard and asked for his name and he said Richard as well. After that, he said to us there is no mangers. it's just him. Something...
