Drove thru drive thru like i always do at this location, usually is a breeze, ordered my food, they offered me a cookie, i declined, when i got to the window, i was like great drive thru they offered me something more let me go out of my way and add on cinnamon roll pull aparts. So i mentioned it to the drive through guy he then tells me he can’t add anything on he says his manager doesn’t like that, said i would have to drive all they way around, i said ok that’s fine, then mentions to me to pull into the spot to wait for my food ( so you mean to tell me i need to wait for my food and also drive around in a inconvenient circle to reorder something and wait? Additionally.) mind you there was no vehicles behind me. So i said well can i speak to your manager? He speaks to someone and then rudely sells me the cinnamon stuff. Then tells me to park, as I’m parked he brings my order nothing is correct no drink no fries i mentioned that to him. And he gets rude and says he needs to go look at my order inside insisting that i was lying. I walk in manager fails to help me just refunds order doesn’t care why I’m upset. Secondly i initially didn’t get a receipt. And they didn’t want to give me one with my refund. So sketchy. Horrible service today so better it’s Phoenix i can go anywhere to eat. I choose this place. Excruciatingly slow, employees shuffling around the back like zombies while machines beep and a long line forms at the counter, not one of them looking up to give a greeting for several minutes. The lady working the front desk was wandering around, looking for things before she finally said "one minute," went in back and slowly shambled around with the other employees, 3 of whom I can clearly see shooting the breeze instead of doing anything productive.
I know it sucks to work in these places so I smile and wait, and finally place my order. The guy in front of me has his order go missing, I have to wait 15 minutes for my food, and my friend behind me has to wait a further 5 or so.
When I glance in the bags, things look right, so I go home. My wife opens her bag and finds only 7 nuggets in her 10 piece meal. We all know we have to review our fast food orders for accuracy, but I shouldn't have to open my meal and count every nugget to make sure I get what I pay for.
Bottom line, as a person who has done tons of customer service jobs over the years, including running a Walmart deli, I can sympathize with burned out, stressed employees, but after being patient with such poor service, finding an incomplete meal was the straw that broke the camel's back.

Read moreWendy's was nice. It was Halloween night, we were on our way home when we saw it. Since we were both hungry and nothing was thawed at home, we decided to stop. We went inside to place our order instead of going through the drive thru like we normally do. There was only 1 other family inside at the time. We were promtly greeted and our order was taken. There was a gas fireplace inside the wall by the door. It was burning brightly, so we decided to wait by the fire for our name to be called. Several Trick or Treaters came in then. We were just enjoying the fire and checking out the kids' costumes when our name was called. He went to the counter and got our dinner while I started to make my way to the truck. He caught up to me before I cleared the second set of doors and we proceeded to the truck together. There was quite a line for the drive-thru at this time, and they had us blocked in. As soon as he started the truck, the car behind us backed up to let us out. We went back to our place and ate our dinner.
