Unfortunately for me I had to choose this Whataburger out of all the Whataburger in the valley I had to go here probably because I like to support my local area but nonetheless at 2:45 I ordered the number for as I was waiting I was the only one in the lobby being that it was 2: 35 a.m. so therefore you could hear the crew laughing and carrying on verbally disrespecting one another a lot of profanity was going on I paid them no mind or my food and went home as I started in on my burger I took a second bite and swallowed realizing I was choking on a bread tie Apparently one of the employees who made my burger decided it would be a funny thing or a joke to put this object in my food I don't know about anybody else but to me that's assault I'm openly giving myself up to defensively enjoying a meal or trying to anyway and having it sabotage with an item that could have easily killed me fortunately I was able to Lodge it out of my throat I reached out to the manager first thing in the morning come to find out it was the same manager who served me that night he is a manager I spoke with right after it happened and he was Unapologetic of my situation he told me what did you want me to do about it and it went on and on one thing he didn't say throughout the situation was to even ask me how or if I'm okay I reached out to management later that day speaking to Fernando Vargas who is part owner of the restaurant after going back and forth and receiving a second phone it was determined after they saw the video that one of their employees put that in my food I don't know what happened yet because this happened on Friday but after our conversation it seems as they were not very concerned about myself or the situation again to me this was assault that's why Monday morning I will be going to the Phoenix Police Department to file charges against this establishment not just the cooks but the owners as well this should not happen to anybody we should be able to go and enjoy our food whether it's there or at home and not have to worry about some idiot trying to kill you for fun and jokes I'm very disappointed because they bring this to our community we need it a Whataburger for quite some time and for them to do such a horrible thing not just to myself but who knows who else or what else they've done to others it tells me that they do not deserve our business and they could care less about anybody they serve FYI the management did offer to refund my burger and offer me and my wife a meal providing I brought the bread tie the receipt and the rest of the meal for who knows what purpose and what they want to do I can only imagine but I will be showing this to Phoenix Police Department and I will be contacting their corporate office in Texas so enjoy Whataburger if you want I...
Read moreUpdate: Have gone a handful of times now and out of the 6x we have gone, 4x our order has been wrong. Even lost out on a reward I saved up on. If you decide to come here there is NO quality control in making sure customized orders are correct. So make sure to open up everything and check your order before taking off. This most recent visit today, I quality checked our burgers, and they were wrong. The girl working in the driveway was kind enough to take out order back in. Waiting an additional 7-10 mins only for them to get our order wrong AGAIN. 🤦🏽♀️ Not going to be visiting again for a while. Hopefully they get their ish together. The girls who take the orders and payments are really sweet though. Went from 5 stars to 2.
Original post: Went at 12:30pm, long line, but it went pretty fast for how many cars were in front of us. Gentleman came out to guide cars to the 2 lines available for drive-thru. The girl who took my order was very nice and was able to crack a joke, it was great. We got to the front of the line where we were met by another girl taking payment. She was very kind also and mentioned how Monday was difficult with the massive amount of people. And how she was really trying to train her crew correctly about customer service and putting forth the effort to create a good experience for customers. "We don't need another McDonald's." No, we don't. I love to see the effort the staff is putting forward to be personable. I asked for grilled onions on my burger, that unfortunately weren't really grilled, but I think it's because they are trying to get the vehicles through the line as quick as they can. Other than that, flawless experience. Your hard work is noted, and appreciated, Whataburger crew! Will come back again, thank you. The first time back , once again Whataburger has forgotten to give us our child's food, no drinks, no gravy for both chicken tender meal for adult and child's meal (even after noted from first mistake) and the wait for Mobile app was an hour AFTER the allotted time given.
-The second time, I reorder on the mobile app once again. Well, we wait 20mins after the allotted time.. which we tried giving some grace since it is Friday and well I don't know. Well, we were told our food wasn't up there, that I didn't order. Showed them the receipt from the app, explain that I didn't come and sit in the Whataburger parking lot for no good reason. The girl tells us.. that the food on the warmer was for a, "someone else's" name (similar initials and similar order). I showed her our receipt once again and say I believe that's my name, She goes "Ooohh, um", then says "we have to make your food". They "make my food", they give it to me.. the receipt is super black, like it's been sitting in the heated area for a very long time. The hamburger buns are hard and the gravy is cold.. . And they forgot my 3 drinks. All in all waiting for our "food to be made" we spent overall time together for about 45 mins, allotted time.
Never again Laveen Whataburger, never again.
I know this Whataburger is fairly new (month and a half) though, tonight's service was the worse we've received, so far. I sadly regret not checking my bags (we shouldn't have to check though ) - we received half a kid meal, no gravy for the chicken tenders, missing a large drink, and one combo was completely wrong.
