To those of you who have given this restaurant, if one can call it that, 4 stars, I can only assume one of two things, that within a few weeks' time this place has taken a quick dive downward toward beyond inedible, OR at the time you were a patron, you were high. I don't think the dishes my husband and I ordered are even relevant to this review as I can't imagine having a different opinion with another dish. Full disclosure, I did order delivery using a food delivery service BUT I tracked the time of pick up from the restaurant to my door, and I feel confident in taking the delivery company out of the equation regarding the condition of the food. I told my husband, the condition of the food almost seems as if the workers at Yoshi's, saw our order and said, "hey, this order is identical to the one that came in 6 hours ago that no one picked up, Score!, let's just pack that and send it." The noodles in both of our dishes were cold and clumped together in one big clump, I could stick my fork in the middle of them and pull the entire mound of noodles up at once. The chicken was so bland and tasteless, we weren't able to identify the two dishes from one another. The egg roll, probably the worst of all, had been fried, I don't know, earlier in the week would be my guess, and left to sit, getting soggy and cold, and the flavor of the inside ingredients can only be described as that of when you burp, and a tiny bit of sour stomach acids comes into your mouth. I know that sounds harsh, but seriously that's the only other example of that flavor experience that I can think of. We only took the one bite of our dishes and we were DONE!. I offered it to both of my dogs, both who smelled it, and walked away. Yep, even my dogs wouldn't touch it. Yoshi's I don't know what has changed recently that takes a restaurant from local media recognition for being "the best of" and 4 star ratings, that transformed you to food not...
Read moreTHIS IS A LOCATION REVIEW. NOT A REFLECTION ON THE FRANCHISE. I originally tried Yogi's at the Camelback location and was just blown away with the service, atmosphere and food. We (my husband and I) absolutely loved it. We were even more excited and grateful when we learned there was a location close to home. Sadly the location on 24th street and Baseline bases its service on your tip ratio. I am a firm believer in tipping and I do so as often as possible in cash to allow the servers the best option possible.** this is important because apparently you only get good food if you tip online. I've learned from ordering in house (because I leave cash) that my order is available on time, perfect and I get cutlery and sauces. But if I order online (and NOT include tip, with the intention on leaving cash in person) not only is my food less than fresh but actually it looks like it was from the day before *see my photo with the purple stuff on my sushi. Then when I asked for the standard sauce that comes with the meal I'm told oh it "x" amount extra. please note that the amount changes every time. (Yes its happened more than once) Today was the last time I placed an order from this location. I was really hopeful that I maybe had an off day with my prior orders but the pattern is very obvious. These workers lost out in a generous tip in CASH simply because they let the online order dictate their actions toward my service. They provided sub-par services with honestly food that was either expires or outside of the service regulations. My online-no-tip orders feel like retaliation. Unfortunately for the service providers there, they will never get the gratuity that I literally had in my hand, all due to their lack of understanding and shortsightedness. Very immature and...
Read moreGreat place for a quick delicious bite to eat. Get lunch or dinner here so many times over the years. I used to be a big fan of the terriyaki salmon before i became vegan. Ive always loved the Udon noodle soup with vegetables; the broth is so good. Also i enjoy the tofu veggies bowl and the miso soup. With any order you can get extra protein or extra mixed vegetables. Dine in has unlimited drink refills. Also i love that Yoshi's has; a large condiments offering and you dont have to go to the counter and ask for any thing; they dont charge you for the condiments. Rite close to the self serve soda and iced tea. Is the condiments . ....a bowl of dry chilli powder(which is hot i love it) a bowl of wasabi, a bowl of pickled ginger "gari", a bowl of chopped green onions , a bowl of whole sliced fresh lemons and a bowl or jar of chilli tomato sauce. The food is delicious all on its own but adding these condiments makes its even more delicious. Yoshi's also has sushi and terriyaki noodle dishes. The prices are very reasonable. And from parking, to ordering and getting your food is all no fuss...
