Chang An Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Pickens

They made us leave and called the police on us for taking a picture. If I could give them no stars I would. The service is awful and they are extremely rude. The place is molded all through the building. No food was even on the buffet at 12:30. All soda but dr pepper is flat. So I guarantee they don't clean the system out either. Honestly the way they treat customers and the condition of the building they don't deserve to run a business. They wouldn't refund us after saying they called the cops for us taking pictures. Which isn't illegal so maybe they aren't to legal themselves. Maybe more than just health board should look into this place. I've never been treated so awful in a restaurant in my life. And we were just hungry construction workers trying to get a quick bite to eat for lunch. To bad we can't claim theft for no refund after what they did to us. This was all from us trying to be nice and help them clean their ac system to be nice, because it's what we do for a living. But who knew trying to do something nice for someone would turn into us being robbed for our money. Sad what the world's coming to. I only wrote reviews of it deserves it. So, I hope this helps anyone or even the local community before the same...

Delicious food, but there's a couple of issues I had. We ordered take out and I wanted beef w/mixed vegetables and when I get there they had fixed beef w/broccoli 🥦. I did make sure she understood me before I hung up from placing the order, well both of the meals are good, mine and my wife's it wouldn't have been a problem if she would have asked me if I would eat that, but when I addressed the issue I was asked if I would take both beef with broccoli and beef with mixed vegetables and to pay for both meals!! I don't think so!! There is a language and cultural difference to contend with and I am fairly easy going, and I don't mind beef and broccoli so everything worked out for the best! I was really pleased with the quality and quantity of the meals and the Chinese restaurant Chang An gets 4 stars from me ! Forced me to purchase a soda price for a cup of water. Owner was rude snatched my receipt out of my hand. She tried telling me I had to add a tip even though you prepay and I had not received service. Teenage Child was asleep on table when arrived. Environment was nasty and unclean. Didn't even make it to the table to sit before I asked for a refund where she then refused to give me a full refund. No plates were even touched or no drinks on the table and she did not want to give me my money back. Had to call the police to get a refund. I've been coming here over 10 years and the quality and atmosphere was absolutely disgusting and has went way down hill. Over priced for quality of food. There was not much to choose from on the bar. And what was there looked dried out and old. Sadly I will not be back unless they go...
