McDonald's — Restaurant in Pine Castle

This has to be the absolute worst McDonald’s I’ve ever been to. I’ve been sitting here wasting over an HOUR of my time, stuck in the drive-thru after ordering at the speaker. Nothing moved, no communication, nothing. Finally I got so fed up I went inside, only to be told the drive-thru is “frozen” — and the way the employee said it, like “oh I’m sure it is,” made it sound like this is normal for them. That’s insane. So apparently they just abandon the drive-thru whenever they feel like it and let customers sit there clueless.

Then, when I go inside to get my food, I literally watch them just now dropping frozen fries for my order. After an HOUR of waiting, they hadn’t even started on it! And the first person I talked to didn’t even bother to help me — I had to wait behind other people placing their orders just to explain the situation. Unreal. Then they have the nerve to ask me to switch my pickup from the drive-thru to counter. NO. I’m already beyond annoyed and you want me to change my order to make your life easier after I’ve wasted an hour of mine? Absolutely not.

At this point I don’t even know why I didn’t just drive off and call corporate for a refund, except I know exactly why — McDonald’s doesn’t care about their customers. If I left, they’d either make me come back to this disaster of a location for a refund, or force me to fight with my credit card company just to get my money back. This place is a joke. Completely unprofessional, slow, rude, and zero effort to fix a situation they caused.

Absolutely the worst McDonald's I've been to in a long time. I'll go right to it since the place has no redeeming qualities. 1. Place is dirty. You can tell they have overnight cleaning but deficient regular maintenance. 2. They forgot my sauces for my nuggets. All 3 of them, which were listed on the order. 3. No ketchup at the soda station, and you had to wait a few minutes to get some from the employees. 4. As you can see in the pic, my "xtra" beef pattie was missing almost half, and no, they did not bite into it themselves. 5. They forgot our soda cups. 6. You had to beg for Napkins. 7. The employees were the typical kids that couldn't care less. No politeness, no smiles, they just existed - real winners. 8. The champion of these kids was a slender Hispanic looking kid (b4 u say anything, I'm latino also) with a thin mustache that was about as useful as a fork for chowing down a soup. He moved with the urgency of a dead snail. His teammates were not much better. Dreadful, just dreadful. 9. NO SALT on the fries. I had to get behind the counter to grab some. I should add most McDs are pretty good these days....

The location is great in relation to the Orlando airport, but the service was rather slow, from what we normally experience from other locations further away from the airport. The food was fine and made to order. The servers were also friendly. The only complaint was the time it took to take the order. There was only one other person in front of us, and the drive thru had about 3 to 4 cars when we arrived. It took at least 5 minutes before our order was taken and for some people , this may not be a big deal. We thought, it could be faster if we walked in, it was not. When we left, there were no cars in drive thru, which could mean, if we went thru the drive thru, we would have been served faster. I am comparing the service and timing, of this location, to others in the area. The service was fine, just the timing. I visited the ladies restroom, while waiting for the food, and it was fairly clean, and the design of the restaurant was rather trendy and well thought out compared to other locations. This location had a beachy design, with nice tables and chairs. It's worth a visit, at least to enjoy...
