Such a great restaurant! I was on a long drive back from Florida (my now EX girlfriend kicked me out, what a b!tch) and was driving back home to Maine when I needed a little pick me up. I wasn't in the mood for Mcdonald's, and the Subway in the gas station was closed down. "Arby's it is," I said to myself.
And I'm glad I chose it! Walking in, the dining area was so CLEAN! The employees were very friendly and courteous, the cashier gave me a Senior Citizen discount (and I'm 25!!) and an extra order of mozzarella sticks! Although I heard a customer ask about his mozzarella sticks later on, seems they forgot. Oh well!
Everyone in that little town must know each other because they were the nicest locals I ever met. Few asked me if I was staying in town long, and one even told me that the hotel next door had showers! I said wow, that's pretty modern! I never heard of a motel that didn't! But the best part was that one of the TVs was down on the table, so I didn't have to squint for subtitles! This place was fantastic!
After finishing up, I sat and took in the aesthetic and overall theme of the place. Absolutely gorgeous! While I was admiring the walls, an employee accidentally mopped over my feet, and apologized! So nice! I had to apologize as well as one of my toenails ripped a strand of mop from the head. She said it was alright, the mops are old. And I can tell from the business the place seems to have, they won't need to worry about affording new ones!
Once I was satisfied, I told the staff I enjoyed my stay and some seemed overly happy that I was leaving, but I think its because they aren't appreciated enough by their customers. Right before I left however, I wanted a snack for the road so I tried out their drive thru. The only reason I gave this review 4 stars was because the guy on the other side talked to my like a baby, and when I pulled up to pay, he wouldn't open the window! After all my food was done, he threw it into my car (along with the SODA!) and slammed the window. Someone having a bad day shouldn't try to ruin others.
TL;DR: Dine in is outstanding, awesome staff, awesome food, awesome everything! Drive thru could...
Read moreTook forever to get through drive thru with 2-3 cars in front of me I was in line for about 10-15 mins til ordered. There was absolutely no customers inside I noticed and wished i had gone inside because possibly faster service. The extra roast beef with cheese was excellent as always though and it was hot. However, like happens so many times I was asked if I wanted any sauce n said yes horseradish but forgot to check my bag before pulling out and sure enough there was no sauce in bag and I didn't feel like parking and going back inside. I did see a Oreo cookie type dessert and think it had ice cream on the inside and rolled in Oreo cookies, it looked good and thought about getting but they were like $4 And I felt just too expensive n cost as much or more than my double roast beef with cheese. I did take several pics of the menu and will post more pictures because I don't think they all showed up to share here yet. The staff was extremely nice and pleasant because they had a sign up they needed $1 & $5 so I gave them four five dollar bills and they were very thankful and said thank you. Even at the window it felt like I was there much longer than i should have been but it took several extra mins since I was helping them out by giving five dollar bills and the manager had to come to register so the girl could give me a $20 bill. So I'd not go through drive thru again if I was in a hurry or if I didn't want to wait 10-15 mins at least til I got my food and was on my way and I was there around 730 pm which I'd think should not be a busy time but they are also right off of rte 81 so I'm sure many customers are stopping while on their way during a trip and wanted a quick bite to eat. The Oreo cookies dessert did look like a tasty item to try but not sure if they would be worth what they charge abd not sure how many bites are in. Serving. However the roast beef and cheese was nice and hot and fresh which can be a problem at many...
Read moreFirst the guy who took our order left in the middle of putting our order together, he was in the kitchen and asked a coworker to take his long hair out of it's pony tail holder, coworker took hair out with bare hands no gloves, then still without gloves put food together, not stopping to wash their hands. Employees were touching their head and hair numerous times, kept putting items in bags and then looking back at the screen and changing what items went in each bag, just about every customer that left the line with their food before us came back with either the wrong item or because something was missing . At one point an employee started to ask my dad what drinks he had previously ordered, when my dad replied she asked "are you talking to me? " my dad replied "yes I tend to answer people who ask me questions." She gave him a look . A meal of 7 sandwiches (6 out of 7 were all the same sandwich) 4 orders fries, 1order mozzarella sticks and 4 drinks took over 20 mins to put together, it was not busy otherwise they had maybe a dozen customers, then they forgot some of our items, when I told them what they forgot they seemed to be happy " oh was that all we forgot !?!" The bathroom was a disgusting mess looks like they only know how to surface clean, they even left their cleaning gloves in the middle of the floor. Over all it seemed like a disorganized, non- hygienic mess. Was severely disappointed, ARBYS is one of my favorite...
