As guest staying at the Holly Inn we had breakfast at the 1895 Grille today and we will not ever be returning. We ask to order food vs the buffet for my wife because she has food allergies. The scrambled eggs were not hot and tasted like paste, the bacon was cold and tough, the raspberries and blackberries tasted moldy, the toast was cold and barely toasted, the butter was 48% vegetable oil and undoubtedly with soy, and the omelette I had was burned burned on the outside and runny inside. All of this for $32 a person plus tax and 18% gratuity. I would have had a way better breakfast at Waffle House. The chef running this should be embarrassed at the quality of food we were served. The servers were nice enough but immediately informed me the chef was very busy and any order would take some time. That seems a little odd since it was 6:30 AM and there were not many people in...

On Pinehurst Property: Good food at the Holly Inn at within Pinehurst. Cool room and vibe. Steak and seafood menu has lots of options. What surprised us was the spotty service. On two occasions, it was not four star service. Food was generally very good--steaks and seafood. Had to send one soup back. One lead server had to read everything from her specials menu and mispronounced a number of menu items. Our servers at the nearby Carolina Room were always great. Very different experience. The woman who seated us was very professional and on point. Somm was also friendly. However, servers need to be held to a much higher standard to retain four diamonds.

This was our best dining experience in Pinehurst to date! We've lived in the area for three years, and this was our first visit. I must say, we were blown away! The staff, including the host, manager, server, and busboy, were incredibly friendly. The atmosphere is historic and beautiful, creating a warm and cozy ambiance. The breadbasket was the best I've ever seen, the appetizers were incredible (especially the gnocchi), and the dinner was amazing. I ordered the short rib, and it was delicious. Both couples tried the souffle, and it didn't disappoint. We'll be back again, and whenever friends visit and seek a great dining experience, this is our...

It was billed to my buddy trip as the best dinner of the trip. I was told when I booked my group of 10 about private room cost ($300 that is semi private) ,cancellation policy, and the dress code but not about the limited menu. My group was disappointed. When I questioned the hostess, her response to me was, " Should I explain to you the logistics?" I thought this was snarky and rude. Otherwise, everything was on point. I wish I knew, my group would have had no problem splitting up.

Breakfast was included in our Bed & Breakfast package. Good spread and attentive service by Bunny. Our corner seat gives us a full view of the room, architecture and old photos on the wall. The photos alone make it worthwhile to visit. Felt like we were in an old lodge. Great to walk down from our room to a nice hot spread of breakfast items, a long with fruits, juices, yogurt & cereal. Good music selection for breakfast - upbeat at a pleasant volume.
