Dropped my son off at school and decided to treat my wife with something better than the same old Freys. Looked up this place and was excited for a cuban breakfast sandwich and coffee. I saw they're cash only on their webpage, that's annoying but I went to an ATM. It's 8:05 on a Tuesday and their webpage and the sign on their door say they should be open, but they're not. Thanks for wasting my morning!

In response to the owner's reply- I walked up at 8:05 and the door was locked. I went back to my car, which I'd parked around the side of the building, and pulled it up in front of the business to wait a bit and see if it opened. I also called the business, but no one answered. After 5 more minutes I saw zero activity (no one opened the door, went in, turned around or lit up an 'Open' sign, turned on lights inside the business that were visible from outside, etc) and at 8:10...

Like the name implies, M & G Cuban Cafe is a REAL Cuban Cafe serving authentic Cuban food at reasonable prices. When I started my search for a good Cuban Restaurant in Saint Petersburg, someone recommended Bodega (Bogus) downtown, but Bogus Bodega was dirty, some of the staff were rude, the food was expensive, and NOT Cuban at all. Seems like I always find a great business when rebounding from a bad one. The M & G Cuban Cafe has friendly staff, and delicious, real Cuban food. The lunch specials are the best! Highly recommend this place to all my family...
