Decided for the second time in my life to revisit this place. The first time I tried pizza in the evening and wasnt too impressed. Thought I would try again. Here is my experience the second time around. First and foremost parking is a pain in the butt because this place is located next to an industrial type building and vehicles are everywhere. Once inside one has high hopes of an enjoyable italian tasting meal. Definitely a blue collar place with lots of workers coming and going for a quick bite. I decided to order the "brats" with optional peppers and onions(a new menu item the sign says). Comes on a philly roll with a side of fries. Fair enough price $7.25. Drink is an additional $1.29. So I wait about 12 minutes to have my number called. I get to my table and take a bite and taste only warm large chunks of not cooked onions and green peppers. So many on the sandwich that the plate looked like a salad. I take another bite, no brat....what is going on...I seriously thought to myself, they actually forgot to put the brat on this roll. I disassembled this sandwich to find what could only be described as a laughable sized brat which was cut in half length wise leaving a 1/16th of an inch piece and a less than 3/4 of an inch piece on the other half of the bun. Folks....this brat was about the size of my middle finger at best. The cook grilled the hell out of one side of it until the pieces were black. I took the disassembled brat sandwich to the front counter and said, what is this some kinda joke? The worker asked if I wanted to talk to the "manager". I said I wanted to talk to the guy who made this sandwich. He presented me with the manager. I posed the same question. He actually was excusing this joke of a sandwich by saying it was x amount of ounces.....really?? Look at it buddy....does this look like your typical Octoberfest type of brat sandwich? I would have respected you more if you agreed and said damn...that is small...let me see why it is so tiny, instead of telling the cashier to throw it out and asking me what else I would like... What I would like it for you to purchase, prepare and sell something that resembles a REAL brat for your sandwiches!!! I settled on two pieces of extremely sub par pizza...just to have something for lunch. I would suggest removing this menu item or make a radical change to it so that is doesnt bring shame to your establishment's name. I think I have seen and tasted enough of this restaurants food to know that this is not a place for me to seek out again. Society has grown accustomed to eating run of the mill food and if that is what you like...then this is your place. Good luck. I gave it two stars because the staff were extremely nice and seemed to be working hard. Otherwise it would have been only 1...
Read moreOrdered BBQ chic pizza [ minus onion ] and a Philly cheese steak. This was our first time eating at Mikes and had very high hopes. Counter service was friendly and helpful while we ordered. We decided to also order a side of the chicken salad. I did inquire about it being made with onion and was reassured it had only peanuts and parsley. I have eaten quite a few versions of chicken salad over the years, and honestly, I've never heard it made this way. First, we tried the chicken salad while our sub and pizza were being prepared. Tasted blan and the peanuts threw the whole experience off. 20 minutes later, our Philly was ready for us at the front counter. Employee stated that the sub was forgotten in the oven and black in some spots, and if we couldn't eat it, she would "change the bread" The employees seemed to be engaged in personal conversations, which pulled them away from preparing the orders correctly. Unfortunately, we overheard one employee telling the guy taking our finished pizza out of the oven that he had to remake it ....he argued that he didn't know it was without onions. We just sat there with no communication on the issues with our pizza. Finally received the pizza and was disappointed. Toppings were all in the middle, sliding off and the crust was soggy due to the overload of BBQ sauce.
We feel it would be more welcoming if employees brought the orders to the table. $60.00 and tip ....I felt like the server. Delivered my own food, that was blah, cleaned the table, and waited an excessive...

They used to have a great pizza pie! Quality has been going downhill over the last couple years. I previously decided to stop going to Mike's Pizza due to poor experiences with staff (i.e. that will be 20 minutes...you show up 25 minutes later, watch your pizza go in the oven. When you say to the cashier: you said 20 and its been 25 so should i come back in another 15? She turns to the cook and says can you take it out, he's here and it should be done. Bless your heart stupid...what do you even say to that??)
Coupled with deteriating good quality and for some silly reason, I had a small change of heart today...serious disappointment!
Todays experience...has brought me to this lengthy rant lol, not lol. Starting with the competency level of taking an order (pretty standard...put what the customer asks for in the computer, read it back...simple. If it was delivery than an address would be relevant, aye? etc.) Considered very low level on the scale of difficulties in these key responsibilities of the job...and what you do every day.
So after dealing with that level of incompetency, I was just delivered a hard/cardboard textured pizza pie. The feel and the texture and taste were (no joke) worse than frozen pizza but with a $20 price tag.
Save your time and money with this place and nuke a...
