This place just keeps getting more and more disappointing every time my co-workers opt to go here, and I relunctanlty agree.
Today was exceptionally bad. We arrived and they were completely out of all the main dishes on the buffet; there were only sides. The Hostess seemed slightly embarrassed when she walked some customers over to the bar to show them what they were selling for the day and nothing was there.
It took them about 5 to 7 minutes after we were seated to replenish the bar with pizza, fried chicken, and meatloaf. The amount they put out was gone after the 4 of us I was with along with 2 other patrons. Not only did they fail to keep the bar stocked, but the food was what I would call less than desirable.
The meatloaf was ummm...well I'm not sure what kind of meat they used. The fried chicken were more like chicken wings, and the pizza...that was actually the best tasting main on the bar, but that's not saying much.
Our glasses were never refilled as well so 2 of the people at our table had to flag someone down for refills.
I would understand running out of 1 or 2 mains if it were slammed, but all 3 mains were out and pretty much stayed out in what looked to be a restaurant that was at about 50 to 60 percent capacity with the rooms they were actually using to seat people.
To top it off when we received the bill and found out they raised their prices. I understand price increases for various reasons, but this place should be lowering their prices with the level of service they are giving along with the lack of food available on their so...
Read moreI'm a little if not a lot disappointed in my experiance today. I love Quaker steak. We order frequently(as im pregnant as I crave there mozzarella planks). I have always gone through the drive through take out, and tonight every single route to the back was blocked off with cones, as there was some kinda of car or bike show going on. Okay fine, so I walk inside where I assume I can pick up my food, an employee tells me "you should be able to drive back there someone's working the drive through window". So I try again... to drive back there. No luck. So AGAIN, I walk BACK inside where at this point someone should've just given me my food that I already paid for and by now is probably cold. Another employee tells me "oh no, on Wednesdays the drive through is closed you have to park and walk back there". Oh. Really? That would've been nice to know ten minutes ago when I FIRST walked in. So now I have to walk back there? Not what I want to do. I walked and got my food... got home.. and what do you know. Cold. Probably bc I was taken for a freaking ride by the employees who couldn't just give me a correct answer to start. And on top of being cold... the Buffalo chicken sandwich I ordered, which is claimed to be "tossed in hot sauce" -taken directly from the menu BTW, is definitely not. Someone just poured sauce in the middle. Half the sandwich wasn't even buffalo. Pictures are attached. What an extreme disappointment. 1 out of 5 starts bc this is the first HORRIBLE experiance I've had. And I mean......
Read moreWe came on a late Sunday afternoon. We had just left the WingHouse on Ulmerton without eating (see review). Intent on not letting that ruin our afternoon we decided on Quaker Steak & Lube. It is the opposite direction to our house from WH and twice as far, but we'd been one other time and had a good experience. Upon arriving we found a bike show had just ended. The patio was packed but we still got a table. There were so many rad bikes and awesome vendors, and a really good live band on a huge stage. Our server Kacie was a rock star. Cool, friendly, professional, and on top of it. She ran that entire patio and never missed a beat. Kept our drinks and bellies full. We tell our kids all the time we can buy all the food we get at restaurants at the grocery store and make it ourselves. We go out for atmosphere and service. Having good food you don't have to make yourself is a luxury. One I'm willing to pay for when the service is there. Without good service there's no point to the restaurant industry. Unfortunately for us all that is being lost and forgotten more and more by those in the industry now. It's a shame and a detriment to business owners, the industry, and our society as a whole. Kacie hasn't forgot that and is actually the embodiment of the exact opposite. Thank you Kacie and Quaker Steak & Lube for keeping the enjoyment of going out for a bite and a good time real and alive in this ever negatively changing world....
