Sooo certain staff at this particular club are CLEARLY in cahoots with the same psychopathic people trying to have me booted from the state of Florida! I literally went there, (like I always do when I go to the gym,) to perform a simple workout routine and then go home. OF COURSE the psychos can't just let me workout in peace. They have to continue to manipulate my streaming services (which I pay for monthly by the way - AND the price for this service has gone up by like $3 over the past 2 months... but I digress.) I'm literally working out in the side room where the ab machines are and this girl happens to plop herself down a few machines next to me and stares at me with this same nasty, snarly stare (as though she knows who I am already,)
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had previously rated this club a five star because of their pleasant service and their pleasant selves. There's been a change in staff at this location and now it has turned to a different side. Being here for over 6 months I have been harassed by two people at this location about my choice and workout shirt. I have worn the same type of shirt in every Health Club and have not been harassed like I have been at this club. I hate to bring in pronouns and color but those are the only identification terms that I can come up with not be discriminative, Which I am not being in the industry that I work in, But I feel that I am being stared out while I am working out. Every move They are trying to see my nipples. They approach me saying that they are going to ban me from the club for wearing a muscle shirt that shows my sides. It's only shows nipple when I'm working out and you can only see it when I'm working out. I adjust my shirt when I'm not. Therefore, if you see it, you are staring at me while I'm working out. If you're staring at me and being the only one saying anything about it, This is considered sexual harassment. When I brought up when girls are wearing booty shorts and shorts that show camel toe and the silhouette of another area on their bottoms they have no comment but when a and I quote; "But when a Non-suffolaphagus of a nipple of a straight male" shows you get upset?!
By them identifying this situation and no one else identifying it shows that they are staring at me while working out. This is sexual harassment. This is not a route that I want to go. I just want to work out as I do.
I think there is a possible bias toward my skin color and possibly my sexual identity/preference. There is a lot of tension with this in our society, not by me. Hate to say that but if they say it why can't I? I already spoke to planet fitness corporation saying that I do not want to be harassed by my choice of workout shirt and they claimed they were going to handle it but it doesn't seem that they have spoken to this franchise. This franchise claims to be planet fitness but does not follow according to their policy because they are franchise. The assistant manager has bans me but not the general manager, who I signed up with when I signed up as my home gym. I am a very courteous and consistent in my my part of maintaining the gym, this means I wiped down my equipment after use and I don't take over workout areas And also re-rack my weights. I'm a black card member and utilize that for my spinal cord injury. This gym was a lifesaver so this situation is affecting my ability to maintain my physical therapy on my injury. Planet fitness please help me. Resolve this situation with your staff. My shirt's just a workout shirt, it's not to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst let me start by saying that I go to Planet Fitness's all over the US. There are certain things that I like to use that planet fitness's don't carry which are an AB wheel jump rope and a 15 pound medicine ball. At best of facilities may have medicine balls but some do not carry 15 pounds and that's what I like to work out with. In all my travels to different PF facilities I have never ever ever had a problem bringing these things with me.Before this facility was built I always went to the Planet Fitness on 66th in St Pete, never once having a problem there ever. So tonight Which is March 28th 2016 I decided to come to this facility on Frontage. This is my second time coming to this facility and the first time I didn't have any issues which was approximately 3 weeks ago But tonight there was a problem with me bringing these things To this facility. Your employees Alex and Emily said that I could not bring them in And that they weren't allowed and they were part of the policy. So when they pointed out this policy that you have which is a list of things at Planet Fitness that sit right on the counter I went through those lists of things from top to bottom and there was nowhere on that list that stated I was not able to bring these items in At best it had that you're not allowed a gym bag in thereBut nothing pertaining to the things that I was trying to bring. I find it small and petty to have such a list that you would enforce that you say these things are on there and they clearly are not. Secondly there shouldn't be a problem with me bringing in these items to a facility that does not have these things which are part of my workout routine. So since I got a hard time about it I left and went to the Planet Fitness in St Pete on 66th, which is farther away from my home considering I literally live between Ulmerton and Roosevelt on the east side of 19. It's the small things that will make or break a business or facility and keep people from coming. For me I will travel those extra few miles just because of that. So for that reason You get a star For location and the spaciousness and cleansiness. I will continue to patronize the one on 66th Street any other facility which I believe is in Safety Harbor where I don't have an issue about these...
