This place has great food. Ive been eating here for about a decade. I live one block south and I work just off the street just north of the location. I could walk there but all of my transactions are via the drive thru.
Here's the issue: the drive thru process is extremely flawed and needs to be fixed. If you are asked to pull forward to sit for your food to be ready, there is a high chance you will sit longer than usual or be forgotten about all together. The amount of times I've been delayed further or had my order given to someone else or the order is sitting inside and I've been forgotten about is staggering. Not all the time but it's a high probability. I am a very understanding person, I have worked in the food industry and give all places some grace because it can get crazy and they don't need anymore pressure than what comes with the territory. It's a small place and it gets busy so giving them some leeway is needed but at some point, accountability has to happen.
Today was it for me. 5 cars behind me all pulled directly out of the drive thru and left while i waited for someone to brind me the half sub. Someone walked out, looked the the bag and went right back in so there was obviously an issue with what i was about to be given. I can't go back to this location. I order basically 2 items due to my own health issues, which do not include fried food. Ones a hot item, the other is a cold item. When a person can be on site for 25+ minutes and not get their food in a timely manner, and it's always 1 item, it hurts when that client fully supports the establishment and their food quality. I drove off today without my order due to the ordering and waiting consumed my entire 30 minute lunch break. I paid, I waited and waiting any further would jeopardize my job. So I had to choose to leave without my 1 half cold sub or being able to ask for a refund. I am laborer in a warehouse and didnt get my lunch. I take responsibility for continuing to go back knowing what I know so I take blame partially.
Customers: If you are asked to pull forward and wait, just refuse. Stay at the window and get your order.
Management: please fix the method in which orders are taken and how they are processed. I know I'm not the only one who has kindly dealt with this issue and keeps getting let down. Your establishment and food quality are above others but this drive thru method makes it less than what it truly is. Consider updating your POS system, ticketing system or possibly hire more folks. The person taking orders and taking payment should not have to stop and walk out to give food for orders taking a while. It messes with the flow of progress. Please reevaluate and devise a method to deter this constant shortcoming.
I know I'll stop by the other locations because they are larger and ive never had an...
Read moreThis review is for the Pinellas Park location on 66 street north: I think I’ve only left two negative reviews in my lifetime and felt compelled to leave one for this location. It has been very disappointing how this location has changed greatly over the past couple of years from being fantastic to over the last year or two now subpar. From making constant excuses after the pandemic that they had to reduce their menu, but never brought any of the items back to charging more for less food plus extra for the tiniest of things, again, using the pandemic, even recently, to having their website say they’re open only to show up and they’re not, even when I reported it the next time I went, but they still don’t update it. There are only one or two there that are friendly, however, for the most part going through the drive-through and then at the window rarely are friendly,. I’ve been going to them for years as I live within three minutes of them and it has not gotten any better. I would rather drive the extra time and go to the Seminole location on Seminole Blvd where they are always friendly, they have most everything they’ve always had, and appreciate your business. I hope the Pinellas Park location and management talks to the Seminole management to get a few pointers before they continue to lose...
Read moreI would like to preface this review with the fact that this place has excellent food, but the abhorrent management is only worth the one star I'm giving. I have been going to this location for many years, and every time I do I have received a stamp on a card for a free gyro. The problem is, I purchase a pound of meat instead of a sandwich because I do not eat the bread or toppings. It is nearly twice the cost but again, this place is worth it and they give me a stamp every time. In the past they have honored the card for a pound of meat because they know me and know that I have purchased a pound of meat from them every time previously. Today I ordered my food and the manager refused to honor the punch card. I even tried to ask if he could take the price of the gyro off of a pound of meat, to which he refused. He then tried to tell me that some of the stamps were from other stores, which they are clearly not because the stamps are numbered for the location. He closed the drive-thru window in my face after this observation and refused to discuss it with me further. Unfortunately I can no longer go to this location after the poor treatment of a valued customer. Wish they could do something to make this right, but we will have to go to other locations...
