Honestly this park is more of a trailer park than an rv park. It's has a lot of road noise 118th street is a drag strip from the sounds. At 6 am and 2 pm the school is so loud kids screaming, cars reving. Then at 7:30 pm the lights come on like spots like. This is not camping was the worst place I have stayed. Had issues with my first site. The electric was so bad I couldn't use the electric between 2pm and 6pm which is the hottest time in florida. I was told by Kevin "we can't afford to fix the electric. You can move sites" not what I wanted because that meant I had to deal with the noise and lights from the school but I need a/c. Kevin also doesn't have enough guts to talk to you if their is a problem he picks a time when he knows your not home and tapes a note to your door. They are very quick to throw a person out. Not me I made though my 6 months. They cater to the Canadians and if one of them doesn't like you out you go. The new owners are spending a ton of money fixing things up but it's really all cosmetic. Not the things that really need fixed like the electric. I feel sorry for the ones stuck here. They will pretty it up just to raise rates. It's all about the money. They will kick a person out just to get someone that will pay more. I am so glad to be out and left on good terms and this is a...
Read moreWe stayed at Rainbow Village for the last four years and we love it there. It is a 55+ park. We rent a house at the end of 7th street, it is close to the heated pool. The house itself has everything we need, we do bring extra towels, bedding, kitchen utensils etc. ||There are so many activities run by the RVAA (Rainbow Village Activities Association) namely pickeball, shuffleboard, petanque, pool, poker, duck races. There is even a library available for residents to borrow books. ||The new Manager Jenni is awesome, she is making a lot of improvements in the park including renovating the rental houses. They are being painted, updated and there are even chair pads. Our unit did not have the chair pads but hopefully next year they will be added, other than that the house was perfect for us.||Sun Communities hosted a Customer Appreciation Day, where they had burgers, hot dogs, snacks, water, soft drinks and even a mixologist to mix cocktails for us. There was a Karaoke/DJ and outside movies were shown under the gazebo. The staff worked so hard that day.||We will be returning at the end of December until early April. Thank you Rainbow Village and Sun Communities for a...
Read moreLocation, location, location! This park in located in an area that is close to so many great beaches and central to ST. Petersburg, Clearwater, and Tampa areas. We reserved an RV site located in the front of the park from Dec. 2020 to April 2021. The park is gated, very clean and well maintained. All office staff is very friendly and accommodating. The only issue we have had during our stay was with our electrical box. We reported it to the staff and they had an electrician come fix it the same day which was on a Saturday. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because they RV sites are gravel and grass and we would prefer a concrete site and also the traffic is noisy in the front RV section. They do have a tall nice vinyl fence surrounding the property that helps some. Otherwise, I loved the park! The residents are all very nice and friendly too. If your looking for a park that is a safe, gated, clean, well maintained, has a very friendly staff, and is a central location this is definitely a...
