Sammy's — Restaurant in Pineville

DO NOT GO HERE THE BARTENDERS WILL STEAL MONEY FROM YOUR CARD ONCE YOU LEAVE AND MANAGEMENT DOES NOT CARE. I visited this bar and had a terrible experience!!! From the sketchy atmosphere, bad customer service, and staff allowing use of illegal drugs I give this place zero stars! I got one drink and got out of there quick. I did not tip bc the service was very unwelcoming! The following Monday I got a notification from my cash app card stating “Your transaction from sammys has been updated to include tip” I never left that bartender a tip. She went back after I left and added a $10 tip for herself. Although $10 may not seem like a lot I work hard for my money and the service I received definitely did not deserve a tip. I called them multiple times and no one would answer the phone. I decided to go in person and confront them about it. The woman I spoke to did not seem surprised nor did she offer an apology. She took down my information and said they would get back with me, weeks later and still no follow up. Obviously they do not take situations like this seriously which makes me wonder how many other times has this happened? I ended up disputing the charges with my bank and my bank gave me my money back. I work hard for my money and do not appreciate them STEALING IT. Provide better service and then...

Definitely a hidden gem in the area as you would never know from the outside just how welcoming and laidback this place really is, but as the old saying goes, you can't judge a book by its cover...

Sammy's is the kind of place you go to when you just want to get a nice cold beer after a hard days work, no questions asked, no pretenses, get away from reality for a bit, maybe make a new friend or two or just disappear into the background, either way, come as you are, as you won't find any judgment here.

Think Cheers, Paddy's, Mode's Tavern or even my personal favorite the one and only Regal Beagle, and that is what you get with Sammy's. No drama, no frills, no nonsense. What more can you want? Well, food would be nice, but if they had that, I would probably sleep there and put them in my will, so probably water that they don't have food.

Next time you are in the area, why not stop in for a beer or two or maybe ask them to make you something original, as you just might get sucked if you aren't careful, and that wouldn't be...

Went here with some friends one night being my first time. Hole in the wall type place. Overall experience was okay, had two beers and signed my check. Turns out two days later I check my bank account to notice two separate charges, one for 12$ and another for 60$. I called the bar and asked why I was charged 60$ extra and was told a manager would call me. Never got the call. So in my mind I was charged for my two beers, then an employee took it upon themselves to charge me 60$ for absolutely no reason. Being that no manager called me or ever tried to resolve this problem, it leads me to believe this is normal behavior.
