This store was ok. Definitely high prices for their merchandise. And higher expectations of those shopping in them. My husband and I are very well off, and most certainly make more than most folks our generation. I also present myself very well. Well, today I dressed in very comfy, classic bohemian pants with a sweater, took my infant in there with my stroller, which I had to very carefully drive through the store due to them not spacing things appropriately, and upon walking up to their rather-confusing counter for checkout later on, was looked up-and-down, both me and my stroller, and stared down by an older blonde cashier, her hands guarding my items on the counter, till my payment card was accepted. And only then did she actually wrap them up for me, wasting more time than I needed to in the store. That was fairly offensive. If I didn't have money, I wouldn't go shopping. And I certainly don't need to wear diamonds in order to be respectfully served. They also have policies for wearing masks right now, and yet can't enforce them even a bit. I was avoiding a handful of their customers who had their NOSES plainly showing above their facial masks, which is extremely careless and selfish. I wanted my daughter nowhere near people who weren't respecting the signs, but would have expected way, way more from the staff in regards to enforcing our safety during covid19 and the current pandemic status that threatens to shut down our state a second time. My overall experience was less than ideal, and I won't be returning and spending my money there. I deserve better than that treatment or extra caution to keep myself and my...
Read moreNot only do I recommend not giving this place your business I wouldn't even waste my time visiting the store if I were you. I've been twice. Once during the winter season and once in summer for patio furniture. The customer service was AWFUL both times. You walk in (to an empty store no less) but the associated can't be bothered with greeting you or asking if you need any help. One time they were talking amongst themselves, looked up and noticed I walked in and then went right back to talking. I stayed to look around and was offered no help. Other patio furniture stores give you the rundown of options, wicker vs metal, vs teak blah blah.. even if you've already heard it it's nice to feel like they care to help you.. Nothing at Peppermint Forest. So I left and spent my money at Fire House Casual where the customer service is seriously 10 star. I have a hard time making decisions and patio furniture is expensive no less! Peppermint should consider showing the customer a little more...
Read moreI want to echo what others said about the deceptive “Wonder lit” lights warranty and how the lights burn out fast. First, our tree was just three years old and there were at least 50 bulbs that burned out. That seems crazy when we paid hundreds of dollars for our tree! That should be unacceptable for a quality product. Second, the “10 year lights warranty” is very misleading. The warranty says that the lights on the tree are covered for ten years. The service person and manager were very firm that the warranty actually covers the set of lights burning out but not the bulbs. The problem is that the wording of the warranty doesn’t say “sets.” And both were condescending as they kept saying “of course light bulbs burn out” as if we were clueless and we should get over it. As pretty as the trees are, we will not shop there again and tell others the same because of how we were treated, the deceptive warranty information, and the quality problem with the lights. Shame on...
