Went here for the first time on a Monday evening for dinner and trivia. Can't personally speak to the beeer/wine wall as I don't drink, but some in our party enjoyed the variety and ability to serve themselves. They also have soft drinks and water available.
The food is standard bar fare - sandwiches, wraps, wings, nachos. Everything we ate was tasty. The chips used for the nachos were especially good - a bit sturdier than typical tortilla chips and held up to the toppings well. Ordering was a bit difficult - it's all via QR code on your phone. The system would never work at all for some in our group, and worked slowly for others. Employees were not readily available to assist in ordering or answer questions. Also, be aware that it defaults to a 20% tip (this can be changed, but you have to be aware it's there).
Trivia was fun - it's a new thing there and the number of participants are still growing. The questions covered lots of general topics, and there was also a visual round. Prizes are gift cards to Hops & Berry. Trivia is from 7 to 8:30/9pm on...
Read moreI went here with my brother, sister-in-law, and some of their friends for our birthdays. When we walked in, we were immediately greeted by the guy at the front. The concept of the taproom is really cool. If you want to drink, you have to link a credit/debit card to this key fob they give you. You have to keep the tab open until you're ready to go. They have this long walk of self pour beer and wine. When you want something, you go to the wall, get a glass, tap your key fob and start pouring. You're charged by how many ounces of alcohol you get.
If you want something to eat or alcohol that's not self-pour, you can scan the QR code on your table, purchase the item, and they'll bring it to your table.
They have a good selection of non-alcoholic beverages. I had O'Douls and some type of cherry seltzer.
To eat, we had the loaded nachos, fried pickles, and a margherita pizza. Everything was delicious.
The live band was awesome.
This is such a neat concept and I definitely...
Read moreWe tried the brunch here. The sausage links were leathery and full of air (?), the eggs had a weird flavor, the salad was at least a week old (and not called "wilted" on the menu), the menu itself was all the way from Mother's Day, which may possibly have been the age of the salad greens too (now June 1). The shrimp n grits was called "pump sulfate shrimp," which was probably what the supplier calls it - that just means the shrimp are farm raised and pumped full of sulfate so they look healthy and to extend shelf life (ie, the opposite of a selling point.) I asked for a refill of soda and the waitress said help yourself. She still stuck a 20% tip on there, which, fine, I'll consider it my lesson to never go back. Umm I guess the ketchup was good? Two stars for the cool multilevel plaza out back. Maybe it's a great taproom - never been for the beer, but that's what it should stick to. Oh and it was about $68 for two...
