OMTea Boba & Bites — Restaurant in Pittsboro

Don't get me wrong, we love OMTea. I'm from the Asian country Boba originated a few decades ago and lived in a few places in the US where boba are common. This is our favorite boba shop in the US. The young people working there are great. While they made mistakes making our boba drinks a few times, they usually gladly re-made the drink. (We would taste the drink right after we got the drink and raised the concern right away. And they also take the wrong order back and remake the drink right away.) I mean...mistakes happen, no big deal! We all make mistakes. In fact, we're happy to see the humble attitude to make things right. However, tonight, my daughter's winter-melon boba (it's her usual) tasted like Oolong tea and trust me, I know my boba tea. These two types of tea are distinctly different. When we tasted it in the shop and mentioned it to the gal right away. Unfortunately, her response was "It's winter-melon." and walked away. I did not want to make a scene there and then so I just asked my daughter if it still taste good and since she said yes, we left without further complaint. While I did want to go back and confront the gal out of principle, I remember what it's like being young and working at a first job. It's not a big deal and honestly, the boba tea was still delicious. It's just that Oolong tea isn't the first choice for a 11 year...

Our family members have fell in love with various items from this shop since its opening last fall, as boba drink is our favorite, especially now I've tried the coffee series. This store truly put all the good ingredients into each cup to make it so delicious. Many options and combos with various topping choices, mixed with all kinds of fresh and yummy stuff. The staff is very nice and helpful all the time to get me to try new flavors. So glad we can have such good boba shop in this area. Hope more people discover you! This place is super cute quiet and cozy, It’s a nice little getaway from being cooped up in my house since I stream all the time on twitch. My favorite is to get a strawberry matcha with strawberry popping boba and mango jelly with no ice. Their taiyaki cream cheese is also a must.
