Jimmy's Egg — Restaurant in Pittsburg

The restaurant itself was very clean and nice. However we ordered a chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, and hash browns for one order. A meat lovers omelet, biscuits and gravy, with toast for another order. When the waitress brought us our meal she brought half of it and said they must have forgotten to make the sides. The steak was a very thin flat grease soaked object, when you tasted it you couldn't even tell there was meat in it. The mashed potatoes were soggy, and would slide off the spoon with not a drop left on the spoon, from butter and there was peels in it. The omelet wasn't done all the way and a quarter of the way through I found a bunch of raw egg whites. The biscuits tasted like grease and the gravy left much to be desired. All that was edible was the toast that was dry and the hash browns. When we told the waitress about the steak, she said she doesn't like them either and said maybe the manager would give us a few dollars off which we politely said no to. Today is Labor Day, I'm new to Pittsburg KS and was told this was a nice place to eat. After seating myself I waited 10 mins to have anyone ask me for a drink. After my drink arrived I made my order. People sat down after me, three groups of people and I stilled did not receive my order. After talking to the manger, her excuse was they had a big party before me. But three other group now four have received there order. I'm a Army Vet, I'm also Africa American. I realize that other than the cook I was the only African American in the building. Not many African American in this town unless they are college stundents. Now maybe this place is use to treat black people this way but I was wear my military vets hat and identity myself as a Veteran. It's 2017 can please try to treat people with respect and Equal. My 3 year old son and I went in for a breakfast. We were both hungry and he wanted pancakes. I had some errands to run so didn’t want to drive back home and eat but we were hungry. We were seated right away but nobody ever came to take our order. After sitting there for awhile without even drinks another customer comes in and their drink order was taken right away.
