My sister asked for avocado in her sandwich, they put it on her salad. There was a chocolate chip in her turkey sandwich (why!?) They forgot to make my food. 4 of us at the table, I did get my side dish that I ordered, but not my main meal. They chastised me when I pointed out that my brother-in-law was halfway done with his meal and I still didnât have mine. The time between the first item coming out and the last one (not counting mine) was at least 15 minutes. So people sat there with their food getting cold while they were being polite and waiting.
I refused the food when it came out because I was super annoyed and just ate the side dish that I ordered. The âownerâ was upset that I refused the meal I had originally ordered (even after he offered to comp it and at least 20 minutes after the first dish came out) and made a point of giving it to the table seated in front of us and boxing up the food they actually ordered. We love supporting small businesses, but donât do a terrible job and then have the nerve to be mad when I call you out on it. I never received an apology, only rudeness and excuses. If they had just said âsorry, we made a mistakeâ I would have given a very different review, and would have been able to enjoy a full meal.
Photo shows everyone with their food while I have an empty space (except for my side dish). Zoom in on the photo and youâll see the chocolate chip sitting on my sisterâs plate. BTW, we did not ask for anything...
Read moreI wanted to love this place, but that's different from how it panned out. We went there just this morning to have breakfast. The place was quaint and located in the old town area of Pittsburg.
I read the review and thought, it would be a nice change in pace to find a local eatery. We were the only ones left when we arrived. We placed our order. Three additional families came in afterwards and received their food very quickly. 30 minutes after we came in and placed our order, I had to ask what was taking so long for us to get our omelettes. It took another 10 minutes for our food to come out. Honestly, we almost walked out because we were made to wait too long.
The waitress finally arrived with our food and told us there was a mix-up with our order, which was given away as a to-go order. I find it hard to believe that since I asked for no tomatoes for my order, someone else would have the same order. They said they would discount our food for the delay.
It took an additional 10 minutes for us to get a check. For a small establishment, before it got busy, it was shocking to see all of the staff just hanging out at the front talking. No communication, no respect for the customer, no thanks.
Not planning on coming back after this lack of respect and...
Read moreWhat a lovely little restaurant! Comfy family vibe, friendly staff and great food! The waffle combo with mixed berries was delicious, even in off season for both kinds of berries. And this will seem like an odd note, but I really appreciated that the pepper shaker flowed freely. I like pepper on my eggs (which arrived unseasoned, letting me salt & pepper to taste, another plus) but in so many restaurants the pepper shaker is all caked and either nothing comes out or I have to pound it to get anything. Here a gentle tap and a sprinkle of finely ground pepper came forth. It's a little thing, but attention to the little things is what elevates a good restaurant to...
