Really nice brewery that I'm happy to have stumbled upon. When in the Hazelwood area of Pittsburgh to have dinner at The Woods House, I realized this brewery was just down the hill and had some time to kill before my reservation.
The building itself looks rather unassuming, but you can kind of tell by the signage and presentation outside it's a cared for place. Once inside, that notion was proven, as the space was well maintained, sharp overall, adorned with cool wall art and comfortable overall.
My wife and I both got a beer, the brown ale German pils, and the service was pleasant and diligent. The beer itself was very well done, and only made me sad that I could not try more options and that the brewery is pretty far from my home. Further, the vibe of the place is exactly what I want in a brewery - it's got great music playing, but not so loud that you can't easily talk to your friends.
I got the Orange Creamsicle flavored ale, the IPA and the Belgian Dubbel - all of which were great. I am a big fan of Belgian style beers, and I think I've...
