I've been to this cafe twice and i would not recommend. the first time was at the begin of summer and when i tell you the whole counter was covered in ants, the floors and some of the tables too. ants where even in the sugar as well. the only good thing was the young lady that took my order, apologized the whole time and firmly reassured me this issue was being handle that day. i gave grace because its summer and i know ants can be a hassle. recently i came in again to give it another go and after i got my drink i saw a roach on the wall, i took a picture so i do have proof if i need to show it. And that is totally unacceptable for ANY place that is serving food and drinks that we give to ourselves, kids, family and friends. i questioned writing this because i didn't want to tear down a black business but this is defiantly a health code violation. if it was a McDonalds we throw a fit and demand better, so for the success of this business I'm demanding better. i will be going one more time to check if anything has changed and if not i will be contacting the health department. the food and drinks are too overprice for the quality it gives. both times my drinks were decent but i expected better taste from the beans overall, the sandwich seemed poorly put together and overcooked, and for 12 bucks i...

I wasn’t really looking for this cafe, but I stumbled upon it accidentally. I was just taking a long walk and then saw this cafe and thought I should try getting a coffee. This is in Hazelwood, which isn’t the most attractive neighbourhood in my opinion, and if this was not daytime, I might have also felt a little bit unsafe. The cafe itself is quite nice. I had my standard iced latte and I asked it to be sweetened with honey, but there was some confusion or error in communication, and they said that they did not have any. However, when I went to look for sweeteners, there was a jar of honey, and when I pointed that out, they were more than happy to help me make a simple syrup with honey to sweeten my drink. The latte itself was nice and strong, and at the price point a very good deal. There are a couple of benches where you could sit or work and Wi-Fi is free as well. When I went, there, weren’t a lot of people and it was pretty empty. The interiors are rather plane. However, the paintings on the wall which looked to be handmade were a nice touch.
