The most unique brewery space in all of Pittsburgh. This place is 4 stories of coolness, in a very clean and well-kept space. Currently, two breweries (New France and Abstract Realm) operate out of the space, with room for a third. These breweries each have a presence on the ground and 3rd floor. There is an elevator that can take you between the floors, with the 4th floor being a nice patio with viewfinders that even give you sight of the Cathedral of Learning. The beer is always rotating and if great quality. I cant stress this enough, but this place is CLEAN. You can almost eat off the bathroom floors how well maintained they are. Read moreHere at Hazelwood Brew House is Abstract Brew Company and New France Brewing Company. There is supposed to be a 3rd Brewing Company in this complex, but sadly they have closed entirely. They are hoping to have a 3rd in Q1 2025. Both offer a wide variety of brews. I enjoyed the Blindfold Belgian Tripel at New France and the Killer Cobra Imperial Cream Ale at Abstract. Read moreIf you want a fun evening with friends, this is the place to go. There are 2 micro breweries serving totally different styles of beer. 1 has wonderful lagers. We had the MaiBock, smooth and on point. The other brewery had a refreshing oatmeal coconut stout. We had the steak salad with arugula greens dressed in a light vinegarette, while our friends had the mac & cheese and nachos. We were also there for trivia night.
