This is my first time having Caribbean food. Wow, wow, wow! I am so surprised that this food was so delicious. It was truly fantastic. Today, I tried out the brown stew chicken, rice and peas, plantains, shredded chicken patty, and a peanut butter crunch dessert.

The brown stew chicken was surprisingly flavorful and satisfying. It fell off the bone! This chicken was definitely not white meat, which is what I typically enjoy, but it was definitely quite good. There was a decent amount of meat on the chicken for just $10, and the portion was satisfying. I loved the brown stew sauce! So tasty. There was some fat covering the chicken I had to take off (not too appealing to me), but other than that, very good.

I also thought the rice and peas were quite tasty. They once again gave me a good portion. The side came for free with the "Just a Taste" meal. The 'peas' aren't actually peas: they are kidney beans. I recommend soaking up the rice with the stew sauce to make it extra tasty.

The cornbread was a nice addition to the meal. It was moist and had a nice, mild but lightly sweet flavor. The chicken patty was a bit spicier than I thought it would be. It seemed to have some sort of sauce inside, too. But, it was flaky and delicious nonetheless.

The plantains were near perfect. You definitely have to try them out since they are so cheap (just $2) and you get 4 thick pieces. Perfectly caramelized, great texture, and nice sweetness. The peanut butter crunch pie was a little small especially for it being $4. But, the flavor was great. Chunks of peanuts, chocolate crust, peanut butter whipping, chocolate pieces. Not sure if it was homemade, but way better than many store bought peanut butter pies.

All in all, this was a great place to first try Caribbean cuisine. I loved almost everything I got and the portions as well as prices were both reasonable. I'm motivated to start eating this type of...

Plainly put, they’re good when they feel like it. The customer service 80% of the time is just bad. If the woman manager isn’t there, they’re going to bs and act as if you’re bothering them. Service was 10000xs better at the hopewell location, I used make that drive from the city to Hopwell just to have the better experience. Countless times at the Allentown location, we’ve had a problem. Twice we’ve actually called and spoke to the manager about how the front of the house was acting. This past weekend, we ordered, we got there at 5pm and they told us they didn’t have time to make any of the dinners that included shrimp. Don’t even know what that’s supposed to mean when it was hours before they closed and they made a snapper for someone that came with us. So we had to switch our orders. I asked for the pepper steak and got probably a 1/2 portion of steak and a lot of rice, others in the party got more steak as if they ordered extra, and paid the same price. I will make 1 thing very clear. I have NEVER had an issue with their quality of food they put out. The food is delicious and the price is perfect. Which is why I’ve given them 3 stars. Is the food worth dealing with the service? That’s on you to figure out. Personally I’m going to have to take a break and hope they...

Delicious food, and wonderful staff! The food is absolutely terrific. It's flavorful, has a good amount of heat when appropriate, and is cooked to perfection. I highly recommend the meat patties -- you might want to grab a couple of extra to take home and eat later! All of the main entrees we got were also terrific - good portions, and great taste! For dining in, the restaurant is large and clean. It has enough decorations (and music) to give it a nice atmosphere without going overboard. The staff is friendly and attentive. It's a very comfortable place to be! The seafood prices have an asterisk about fluctuating costs, so ask for the current prices before ordering. The prices when we visited were significantly different from the print, but seemed to be in line with current market prices. It wouldn't make sense to order/print new menus every few days, and it is mentioned on the menu, so I'm okay with it. But, it's worth noting. There is a great loyalty rewards program, and plenty of parking. There are also lunch specials and a kids menu. Overall, I am very glad we found this...

0 out of 10 I do not recommend! I turned around passing this place to give it a try. I come in pleasant and happy explaining that to the guy behind the desk he just sat there looking on his phone I literally had to ASK if they had a menu to which he said nothing and started flicking through the tv to pull up the menu up THAT was the red flag 🚩 I missed to walk out at that very moment. I told him what I wanted he just rung it up didn’t even speak as to what the price was I had to look down and notice that the machine was ready for me to pay. He handed me my food I said “thank you” he said nothing😂I started to ask for the owner but if you allow a person as DRY..nonchalant and rude as he was to work the front desk there’s no way you could be any better! His attitude alone is enough to make any potential customer turn right around. Which is what I normally do and should have done. I ordered oxtails they look delicious but they were “OK” at best not good enough to pay $25 for and put up with terrible customer service. I won’t be recommending or returning to this place EVER

My other half and I have eaten here multiple times and have never eaten anything we didn't love. Their curry chicken and jerk chicken are amazing, their cabbage is always flavorful, and the portions we've had both dine in and to go have been great. And the plantains!! I absolutely love them, but I was heartbroken the last time I ordered them. I drove 20+ minutes just to get their plantains, and they were no where near what I've had previously. I was heartbroken! They were cut into huge chunks, were so dry and weren't edible at all. I really hope whoever prepared them like that was just having a bad day or something! I uploaded pics to show what I'm used to having, and what I was given at my last visit, which should have never been served. I won't let that one experience take away my rating for their food tho, every experience I've had before this had been 5 stars +!
