Pizza 412 — Restaurant in Pittsburgh

I ordered from here because it was somewhere different on the Eat24 App. I read the reviews after ordering and then was a little scared. I ordered at 6:30. The time for delivery I was given was between 7:30-7:45. I ordered the Special. A large pizza and a hoagie. The total was about $25 including tip. The order finally arrived at around 8:15. However, this is on a Friday. It is a little understandable.

The large pizza I would compare to a medium any where else. I honestly think I was possibly just given the incorrect pizza. I ordered a Pepperoni. This one came with Pepperoni and Sausage. The pizza honestly tasted as though it was sitting for awhile as well. I'm not sure if maybe someone didn't pick up their pizza and they just delivered it to me instead of making a fresh one. The combination of Pepperoni and Sausage though was very over powering and extremely salty. The crust was different. I understand this is a family owned business and the food is made fresh. Possibly if the pizza had been fresh, it would have been more impressive. I tried the Garlic Butter Flavored crust. I would not suggest it.

I also ordered the Italian Hoagie. I would say it was significantly better than the pizza. However, it was running a little short on meat and the dressing was only put on the bottom bun that then soaked all the way through and made the bottom half very messy and the top half very dry. It was still good though and a huge hoagie. If ordering again, I would probably try another hoagie and avoid ordering on a Friday during dinner rush.

I am shocked to see such negative reviews. People should think before they blast a hard working local business. I never knew Pittsburgh had so many pizza connoisseurs🤣This place is great, especially being one of few places open late night! We wanted food last minute after a long day and decided to stop in and order: two large pizzas and pepperoni rolls done in twenty minutes at 11:45pm. Very few places to eat late and this place nailed it! The Sicilian pizza was thin but the crust was flaky and buttery and the sauce was good and seasoned well! The Buffalo chicken pizza was good with potato medallions on it. We enjoyed the pepperoni rolls, they were small but the ingredients were good quality and the sauce complimented them! The workers were there late busting their butts and I appreciate their customer service! They even walked the pizza out to us! Ordered 2 hoagies and an Oreo cheesecake via Slice. Food arrived quickly. Sandwiches were fine -- Mancini's bread is wonderful and the meatball was tasty if a bit short on ingredients. Probably a 3-4 star meal if not for the next part.

The cheesecake came in a styrofoam carton which we immediately refrigerated. When we took it out 20 minutes later my wife saw odd white spots. They weren't very cold but they were fuzzy. We couldn't figure what it could be other than mold so I took a photo. I chatted the Slice agent and sent the photo which she shared with someone at the restaurant. The Slice agent politely informed me that the restaurant didn't agree that the spots were mold and would not be issuing a refund (for all of $7 of my ~$38 order). Slice being the stand-up company we have found them so far, the agent immediately issued us a refund from their end.
