Carrick Shopping Center — Local services in Pittsburgh

During the day this area is okay, but at night it turns into a very dangerous place to be.

Unfortunately the owners of this complex think that cameras are enough, but they're not. There have been numerous robberies and attacks in this area. Just being across the street from a magistrate is not security. This complex really needs active security guards.

You will notice quite a few police officers drive through this complex both during the day and in the evening, but that does not seem to deter the crime here. This area needs to hire active security guards 24/7. Many of the open businesses have been robbed during business hours and many people walking through the complex during the closed business hours have been attacked, robbed, and worse.

I would recommend avoiding the area altogether unless you have business there, and if you have business there I would recommend doing the business and leaving immediately.

It is unfortunate because there are a lot of good businesses there that I like to frequent but I think twice because of the dangerous nature...

THEY ARE A GOOD FRIENDLY BUSINESS AND THEIR FOOD IS VERY FRESH AND I LOVE THERE COOKIES, AS A MATTER OF FACT, THERE THE ONLY PLACE THAT HAVE MY NOW FAVORITE COOKIES IN PITTSBURGH. IT'S MY LOCAL SUBWAY SHOP'S. AND YES MA'AM THEY ARE VERY DELICIOUS AND FRESHLY MADE! I HAVEN'T TASTED ONE STALE COOKIE YET FROM ANY SUBWAY SHOP THAT I GO TO AND THERE ARE 3 OF THEM THAT ARE CONVENIENT FOR ME AND WITIN THE CIRCLE THAT I DO MY BUSINESS IN! I WOULD GIVE MY 3 SUBWAY SHOP'S IN CARRICK, OAKLAND AND ON CENTER AVENUE, IN PITTSBURGH PA, ALL 5 STAR'S. I stopped at The Carrick Shopping Center Rite Aid store#10925 and, as always, I was treated well. Sierra, one of my favorite Rite Aid associates was ensuring that I had another good experience as she took care of my items while showing great patience with me as I did not tell her, initially, that I was paying with a winning scratch off ticket which she had to cash first before she could finish the transaction!! It was careless and thoughtless of me and I'll never do this again!!! Meanwhile, Sierra was a very good sport about it!!! She is a very sweet, likeable...
