Dairy Twist — Restaurant in Pittsfield Township

Dairy twist in Oberlin is a joke. It used to be my favorite place since I was a child. I was so excited to go there today. Was told on the phone that kitchen closes at 7:45 and at 7:40 I could still order food. I ordered and asked about ice cream. They said it would be 15 mins till food was done and to order my ice cream when I pick up my food. I told her I had a 15 min drive anyway and she said it was fine. I get there a few mins to 8 and they turn me down for ice cream. They say they are closed. I talked to the owner too and she said that I couldn't get ice cream because it was 8 o clock. I told her that they should honor of because of what the girl said on the phone She said technically that I shouldn't have even gotten my food because she was cooking it past the 745 when the kitchen closes. That is not what they said they said they take their last food order at 7:45. they were very rude and said that they would not honor the ice cream or give me the ice cream and that I have to understand that they can't wait there forever for people to show up or not show up to get their food and let their ice cream melt as they're waiting. And that is why she said she would get my ice cream when I got there. I feel like the rules still sticks at the customer is always right and when she is told something specifically on the phone and asks an actual question making sure that it is okay they should honor it. I think Wakeman will now get my business.I feel like even if the person on the phone made a mistake , they shod own up to it and honor it. I would have given 0 stars if it let me because 1 star is to many for this place now. On 7/29/23 I went up with my daughter to get some ice cream and I have been there many times before and i always order the same thing large twist in a cup with chocolate on top and they refused to make it saying they can't make it that way and when I asked since when I always get it that way that's when the older lady got very rude with her comments that's whe way it take it or leave it I told her was going to leave a review to let everyone know how I was treated and talked to and she yelled I don't care leave a review, so I just continued to get my daughter her ice cream while she was behind the window still running her mouth to the other employee . Very rude very unprofessional I mean really I go all over getting ice cream including here and I have never ever been told no I will not make it that way . Really .... I will go to another city to get ice cream for now on I will never go...

If I could leave 0 stars I would… first time being there, we orders some flurries two mushroom burgers and an ice cream cone, the ice cream was good. But they forgot about the two mushroom burgers we ordered and after waiting for over 25 min on them my husband went back up to the window and asked if they were almost done and the girl apparently forgot we ordered them and then said she only charged us for one so we had to pay for the second one. That was fine and it took them 10 min to make the two burger and when we get home and opened them up we received two PLAIN BURGERS!!! What kind of mushroom burgers don’t come w mushrooms on them!! And then after arguing with them we come to find out she charged us for two plain steak burgers the second time. So we are completely missing the mushroom burger, and got charged for two burgers we don’t even want & they refuse to give us our money back. This place has terrible...
