China III — Restaurant in Pittston

I loved China III. For years now I’ve been going there they used to have the best chinese good around and it wasn’t that expensive. A few weeks ago I ordered food from there while I was at work and my boyfriend went to get it for me. He brought it back to me and I was so excited to eat it. When I opened it up and tasted it the chicken and broccoli both tasted like chemicals, more specifically cleaning products. Now that’s good and all that they clean thoroughly but it’s not good when you can taste it. I called them to tell them my issue and explained that I wasn’t going to eat my food, I would bring it back up to them after my shift was over and that I just wanted my money back. This was the biggest hassle ever. The lady had put the phone down, I was not on hold either, and they started to talk about me for about 2 minutes. I ended up hanging up and calling back and they knew exactly who I was. They kept telling me if I ate the food I would not get my money back. I said I understood and that I wasn’t going to eat it and I just wanted my money back. When my shift was over I brought it back to them and the lady was very very rude. I walked in with it and she came over and rushed to give me my money, she gave me the incorrect amount back. I told her it was more then what she gave me and she rolled her eyes and ended up giving it to me. Right when I was about to leave she said “don’t ever come back here.” “If you don’t like the food don’t eat here.” It’s sad that she could talk to me this way over a little issue. Now they lost a whole family and some friends of mine over this issue. Don’t be rude to your customers and you’ll be fine. We decided to order from China III on broad st near the library placed a big order so i thought they might had made a mistake i called and let them know we got the wrong item since i ordered honey chicken and got coconut chicken the girl then said no it was in there and i politely let her know no i got coconut chicken instead of honey chicken asked me to hold on I was on hold for 15mins while she was getting screamed by and going back and forth with lord knows who over there just to come back and tell me that they not only told me what the chicken would look like but also showed me which is a complete lie the bag was stapled together when picked up and nothing was spoked about except the form of payment 🤣 i then proceed to just ask her for a refund or an exchange because not only did i not get what i ordered the thing doesn’t look or smell good She said no 🤣🤣🤣🤣. Our go to Chinese place isn’t open on Monday’s so we tried here instead and boy were we surprised! The food is so flavorful and well done and I feel like they added a larger array of veggies to my Lo mein which was nice. We really were surprised at how good the food was, and I didn’t even order off their menu, they had everything we usually order at our old place. I had the pork lo mein and mai fun (which are essentially the same thing just with different noodles) - so savory! We had the fried dumplings - a little steamed in the container but not their fault, a few minutes in an air frier would’ve picked them up. The BBQ spare ribs were sweet and sticky, and the general two chicken was sweet but had more flavors than just that which is better than most places. Their egg rolls also seemed bigger.
