Definitely not a good experience. I arrived around 9pm a little busy, but not crazy. I was with a group of women and people were ordering at the center of the counter, when it was our turn the bar tender (a women with a tattoo on her neck) took each of the women that I was with orders, when I got up to the counter she ignored me and took the order of some ppl sitting at the bar, no big deal right? I get it there are other people sitting at the bar, so I wait. Finally she comes back to the center of the bar and takes the order of the people in line behind me, then the people behind them, all of the while looking around me to take their orders. I got pissed and said I'm trying to order too! She ignored me a took the order of someone that walked up on my left. Well I'm not giving money to an establishment that is going to ignore me all together. I sat with the rest of my party for an hour and no one ever came up to our table. There were maybe two other people on the floor but it seemed like everyone was spending most of their time behind the bar. While sitting, I heard many patrons complaining about the poor service. I feel bad because I know that they are newly re-opened, but come on. No service at all?...
Read moreSo the atmosphere is nice- loved the live band duo. That was fun! Good drinks and the service was fine until we ordered the beer cheese app (tasted old, recycled, stale bread with it and not good. Definitely microwaved a few times over). Told the server and she was like ok- and took it away. So then when she brought us the bill the app was still on there. So I found her and said I don't think we should pay for the beer cheese. Her response "oh I didn't think you would be like that..... I'll have to ask my manager". So I gave her my card with the bill- she ran it back to my table a few minutes later and just threw it on the table with no explanation, confirmation of removal or apology or anything. It was super awkward and honestly have had better service experiences at a truck stop diner. She honestly acted like she took it personally that the app was needing to be taken off. What happened to the day of "I'm sorry you didn't like it" or extreme basic service stuff like that. We still tipped her really well since we did enjoy the drinks and she was attentive but that really spoiled our experience all together. I would expect A LOT more when I spend $50 on a few...
Read moreI was very excited to try Nick Fink’s since I never went there before it closed. I go to Gilmore Collection restaurants all the time and this was far and away the worst.
There were two servers (including the bartender) for 50-60 people. The menu was small but it’s a bar, no problem. I paid $17 for a burger that had everything on it when I asked for stuff off, server saw it and just said she told them [cooking staff] not to; didn’t offer to fix it. No problem, I’ll just take the stuff off.
The real problem was the food itself. They didn’t ask how I wanted it done and it was burnt to a crisp. There’s no way it was 1/3 lb. Meat quality was worse than McDonald’s; think backyard barbecue Walmart ground chuck. Cheese wasn’t even melted. Gave them 2 stars because my wife’s salad was more or less fine. Giving 2 stars for service because it wasn’t that slow and the server gave us $5 off for being slow.
Definitely a bar; was very loud. Lots of kids in their 20’s which seemed odd for a suburban restaurant but I’m guessing they’re from York Creek. Stick to Vitales or Mill Creek if you’re in the area. Heck, I’ve had burgers at...
