I came for my birthday, first time. Party of 4. The wait for moderate, we didn’t make reservations. We were given menus to look over while we waited. After a few minutes, we were asked if we wanted to order. I said I’d rather wait to be seated first. I found that odd. But I ordered a jar of the Chicha. When we were seated, the jar and plates were all set, which was nice. But we were given plastic cups to drink from. One of the orderedAppetizers was forgotten. Entrees came pretty quickly. But things came in disposable cups and containers. Except for the plates. The food was okay, being Peruvian, you learn to distinguish, and I’ve had better. The Vibe probably would’ve been better but there is a banquet hall next door and there was a wedding happening, and the music was rattling the walls, and very loud. The many different servers came to ask how things were. I think maybe even the owner came to ask. Attentive yes. Atmosphere was lost with the loud music next door. Food was good. Not superb. The pictures on google of the dishes were not like the ones we were served. Our plates didn’t have any niceties. They seemed hasty and not quite as presentable. W the plastic disposable sauce cups, etc. Overall, I came to try it out. Would not come back. Prices were high in my opinion. And the catch at the end was the 20% gratuity (not 18% like other reviews mention) already added to the bill. And a $5 card fee.. made my bill from $143 come close to $200.

Best Peruvian restaurant in central New Jersey! It has accesible parking in front and at the back of the restaurant. Great location! The service is just as the food: amazing!! Not just your server is the one attending you, all of them come and ask you if you need anything. I usually buy the chicha or other drinks but last time I went there I brought my own tea cause I wasn’t feeling good and my server offered to bring me some ice. I had a previous experience in a different Peruvian restaurant in which I brought my own beverage and the girl looked at me like I was committing a crime and she treated me horribly. The food is incredible, prices are a little too elevated but it’s totally worth it!

I came here about two months ago and I have to say I LOVED their service! I came with my boyfriend and 10month old baby, they grabbed a a high chair for me and adjusted my baby in his seat, the server asked me if my baby eats soup which I found odd since I had just sat down and it was the first question they asked.. I said yes and after getting situated they bring out a small plate of soup for my baby! 😂 I was like whaaatttt ! Soon enough I started feeding him which made the experience so so so much better because he was calm the whole time while we ordered and waited on our food since he was eating the whole time ! I would definitely come back

Food is 4/5 is good but two years ago i came and the noodles were better they had a different sauce but the food is still good, my problem is the waiters, I went to eat yesterday we were the only two people and they messed up my orders, I didnt care the waitress asked me i specifically told her its ok Ill eat this its ok dont worry about it, but she then brought what I had ordered and just dropped it off at the table, Im a server when i do this i tell the people if they want it i won’t charge them for it so i thought the same, wrong for me to assume the same but she just didnt say anything, when i get my bill she charged me for the dish i did ordered but i told her before it was ok i would eat the one she brought by mistake she didnt explain i was gonna be charged for it because they messed up my ordered it was two people we didnt need three dishes she just dropped it i dont mind paying for them if she would have told me instead of just dropping it off at my table without telling me anything, when she notice i got the wrong order she could have taken it away too and on top of that she does autogratuity for 2 ppl i honestly dont care i would do the same at my restaurant if i could for two people but its the lack of her communication and charging me for their listake when i told her i would est the plate they brought i dont need the other one, no she dropped it off without saying anything they did tske it off after i explained it to her and im thankful they did its just annoying how they did it so sneaky dont charge me for a mistake you did and if you are ask me because three plates of food is too much for two people i didnt need one of them server should me more honest instead of just expecting you to pay for their mistakes when i clearly told her i dont need what i originally ordered im ok with the wrong plate...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Punto, Peruano Restaurant, and I must say it was an exceptional experience that left me craving for more. The moment I step in I was greeted with warm smiles, and a cozy atmosphere that transported me straight to Peru. The menu boasted a remarkable variety of traditional Peruvian dishes, each paired with genuine care and a focus on authentic flavors. I decided to try the lomo saltado and it was an absolute delight. The tender beef stirred with onions, tomatoes, and spices. It was a burst of flavors that danced on my pallet. The attention to detail in presentation was evident as each dish was a work of art on its own. What truly set Punto Peruano apart is not just the delectable food but also the warm and attentive service. The experience not just a meal but a journey into Peruvian culture. The restaurants ambience was a perfect blend of modern art creating an inviting space that is suitable for both intimate diners and larger gatherings. This restaurant will definitely be on my list of favorites. Come and enjoy the authentic Peruvian, food with family...
