Fieldhouse Sandwich Shop — Restaurant in Plainview

This place has always been one of my favorite. I placed an order today at 12:20, the young lady who took my order told me it would be between "15 to 25" mins before my order would be ready. When I get there to pick up my order, the young lady that took my order over the phone asked me if the order could be under a different name because the order was not placed when I first called. My order was still on the counter and had not been taken to the kitchen. I was told that they would "try" to rush my order that was at 12:43 at 1:10 I am still waiting for my order, my baked potato. I finally got it at 1:15 by that that time I had to rush back to work because I had a 1:30 appt time. It took me around 10 minutes or less to get back to my office. I found my potato to be VERY DRY, the cheese was hard and when I try to use my fork, the fork broke in the potato. I was really looking forward to my lunch but it was not edible. As I am waiting for my order, other customers were asking for their food and asking why was it taking so long to get their orders. Maybe your staff needs to be retrained... All I know is that my lunch...

Before I start this review, let me say that I absolutely love the Ribeye sandwich from the Fieldhouse. The ribeye sandwich is the reason I wanted to try what I ordered today. I was extremely disappointed. I love white steamed rice and the rice in the Ribeye rice bowl was good, it was the Ribeye meat that was tasteless. I added the soy sauce they put in my bag and the Ribeye broth they also added to my bag and it helped a tiny bit. I love bao and they had some on their menu. I decided to try the bbq bao and never again. The meat inside had an awful flavor. It tasted like freezer burn or something. All I know is that it was not good. I had someone else try it and they said the exact same thing. Over $20 down the drain. Will I return? Yes. I will never order the same items I had today. After reading all the raving reviews I guess I was expecting more. The food was good, don't get me wrong. The portion size on the sandwich was disappointing. I expected much more than half a sandwich and a handful of fries for $8.49. I ordered the super and its basically one slice of each type of meat and a slice of cheese. Much more bang for your buck at Subway. Now if you want a baked potato this is the place to go. My daughter had the bacon baked potato and the thing was huge. There was more bacon on her potato than there was meat on my sandwich. My wife ordered the Broccoli Cheese soup and it was also very good. We didn't order any salads, however they looked huge, maybe next time I will go with a salad or potato and pass on...
