Worst experience ever... rude and unprofessional experience. Especially the guy that handles the protein... I always feel like he trying to rush me and he fails to actually listen to what I’m requesting. I live in the neighborhood and have been coming here for years. I don't always have the best experience so i don't come as often.I feel uncomfortable when placing my order. However i would not say anything or express my dissatisfaction. I would take my order and not be happy with what I had just purchased. I usually order the same thing the same way every time. Most of the staff are familiar with me by site however they don't know my name. I have never been rude or unkind. However yesterday I was not in the mood to take my order the way it was being prepared. I wanted to enjoy my meal. I ordered the Brisket Sandwich Meal. I enjoy Brisket , however I prefer my Brisket with a little more marbling and or FAT. Not Lean or DRY and Sliced not Chopped. I did not think my request was unrealistic. I requested my Brisket from the guy who is cuts the Protein. However yesterday I guess he did not like what I was saying because as he was cutting the Brisket I kindly informed him I was not happy with what he was preparing for me so, he rudely re-cuts more Brisket then he starts to put the Brisket on the bun, he tells me he giving me what I asked for pointing the knife toward the Brisket. Everyone locked eyes on me including the person responsible for preparing the sides. It took everything in me to not to respond unprofessionally but that is not my character or personality so I politely said NO THANK YOU and left. I'm not sure I will be back. I have felt like I was not wanted as a customer in the past. but I kept trying. I'm a Business Professional and African American and I know how to treat people, however I feel like I'm being profiled every time I come in and place my order. If what I'm asking for is unrealistic or will cost more , please tell me. I can pay for what I want, however I have a choice where I spend my hard earned money. I thought about this situation and choose to express my...
Read moreMan, we used to LOVE eating at Dicky's! It's really hard for me to submit this bad review but it seems extremely unfortunate this location must be hurting and impacted too much from either COVID days or the rise in costs for EVERYTHING. We ordered okra and in the past or at other locations, if none was out, someone would immediately drop a batch to get it out to us ASAP so you don't get it when you are finishing your meal, like this visit:( But after finishing our meal 10mins later, I had to go ask where's our okra, and then they dropped our batch in:( We ordered Sliced sausage, which was still juicy and amazing but my Sliced turkey sandwich was the driest and worst sandwich I've EVER had! Even with sauce covered over each side of the turkey, it was just horrible. We actually went to Hutchins BBQ right before this, but since the line was SO long, I suggested we hit Dickey's since I've always enjoyed most of their locations in Plano! A+ with the sausage but just frustrates me to give a C- or lower to the service, when we were the only people there dining in with just 1 other small family who was already done, and the extremely dry sliced turkey sandwich:( I really do hope you stop serving such horrible dry food and when someone orders okra, drop it immediately since no one wants it after we finish the meal like a dessert:( Even the Loaded Baked Potato Casserole was tasteless and old and dry when it used to be one of my...
Read moreThis For many years, the centerpiece of our Thanksgiving dinner has been Dickey's Cajun Fried Turkey and we have always been as thrilled as our guests. This year we again ordered the Cajun turkey to continue the tradition; however, when my wife went to pick it up she was handed an uncooked, unseasoned turkey that we didn't discover until she made it home. When we returned thinking it was a mistake, she was told they "weren't doing the Cajun turkey this year" because they were only given raw turkeys.
After using the Talk to Dickey's link on their website, I was contacted by the regional manager (Chris). He told me the Cajun turkeys this year were brined and injected rather than fried and provided one to try along with cooking instructions (different than the printed instructions provided).
So in summary, the communications around changing the Cajun fried turkey to a raw injected Cajun turkey was a complete failure. The response after arriving home with a raw turkey and no information was bad. The follow up of the Dickey's team (specifically Chris) to communicating the issue was fantastic; however, there was still some confusion regarding how to cook the new Cajun turkey (here you should just change the instructions to what Chris says). The turkeys themselves were good but not great...
