Let me start by saying the food is close to 4 star. We live close by and tried this place out on a Friday night a bit late. The service was good and the food was excellent. Yay! we found a mexican food place less than five minutes from our house to eat at... wrong :-(. We returned one week later on a Saturday to find a handwritten "closed" sign on the door. Disappointing but somewhat expected for a small mom-n-pop business. We tried again the following Monday night. They were opened. Looking forward to the excellent salsa and great green fajita enchiladas from the first visit, we went inside. The service was a bit slow compared to the 1st visit. After the waiter took our drink order we decided on fajitas, fajita green enchiladas but decided to forgo the less than average quaeso from the week before and just enjoy the great salsa. Upon the arrival of our drinks we were told that they were out of... get this... chips, salsa, and fajita meat. Leaving my wife and I with a puzzled look the waiter rushed off. When he finally returned we told him we would just pay for our iced teas and leave. At first he could not make change for the $4.50 in iced tea. I thought this odd so when he finally got together $16 in $1 bills I asked for a receipt. He was obviously trying to make change with tip $$ and not ring this up. As soon as the manager was requested the drinks were suddenly comped. If you are looking for a hit or miss circus show then this is a great choice. For a reliable authentic Mexican dinner it's worth the effort to find...

Unfortunately the service just keeps getting worse and worse. I've visited this establishment over the last 8 years or so, but what used to be a weekly routine now has dwindled to 3-4 times a year at most, and now will more likely stop.

I've lasted through the changes in ownership, but the management of the place really has always had issues. As the other reviewers mentioned, service can be REALLY bad (ignoring people for long periods of time, long waits, frequently running out of items on the menu, etc.)

It's sad, really, because the food (when you can get it) is REALLY good.

The icing on the cake for me was a a recent take out visit where they REFUSED to honor THEIR OWN COUPON WHICH THEY THEMSELVES HAD SENT ME because they were "now using a new system" and didn't have a place to put in the discount.

We've given that place so many chances over the years, and even in the last two years we've kept coming back hoping they'd finally gotten their ducks in a row to have their terrible service match their great tasting food.

Unfortunately, there's just a point where you have to cut bait. It's just...

Doña Mary's: A Taste of Authentic Mexico Doña Mary - Antojitos Mexicanos is a true gem for those craving authentic Mexican cuisine. From the moment you step inside, you're enveloped in a warm and inviting atmosphere. The vibrant colors, lively music, and friendly staff are pretty on point. The food is undoubtedly the star of the show. We indulged in a variety of dishes, each bursting with flavor. We got the taco Tuesday special with for a $1.49 each. Everything was hot and delicious!! The corn tortillas were a delightful touch, adding a touch of freshness to every bite with all of it being on the grill . We got 16 tacos with all corn tortillas. The service was great. Our server was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. They were happy to answer our questions and offer recommendations. OverallDoña Mary - Antojitos Mexicanos is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates authentic Mexican food and a lively atmosphere. We highly...

Remember they got student discounts, I think teacher discounts too, but ask them if they got any specials! They told me their breakfast burritos were BOGO when I went on a saturday and what a delight, the chorizo, and bacon were biiig! If you want something fresh and not HEAVY like Chipotle, their barbacoa burrito will serve you well. I personally prefer something heavy and greasy. Typically I expect their chorizo to be drenched in grease, but its pretty good, but along with the bacon version, it was not what I remembered when I went a few years ago. I got it togo, and I wish they placed some napkins with it, and included a different sauce. Their green sauce is just fine to me. Pretty much if Chipotle light is up your alley, try them out, or if its close to take advantage of their lunch specials.

Ate here because it’s Zabiha. I really enjoyed the verde enchiladas with rice & beans. The verde sauce was very tasty. My family members ordered beef tacos & flautas which were not the best. The tacos were dry and the flautas would be better if the chicken was shredded. The chips and salsa were okay, but I loved the chips with the green salsa that you put on tacos. The red one was spicy. It’s hard to find good authentic mexican food in Texas so this is the closest you’ll get to authentic mexican plus it’s zabiha:) Aside from the food, the restaurant itself is a little dirty, especially the bathrooms.

Service was really good, friendly faces and smiles, order brought to my table. Ordered a huarache and a burger meal. Huarache was flavorful and really nice! Loved the salsa options also! Burger was not great. Overcooked yet not hot, tomato was placed against the bun therefore making it soggy. Cheese was placed away from the meat therefore not melted. Bun wasn’t hot bun was toasted, fries weren’t salted. Would return just not for a burger. Lot’s of kids at noon, also would t come during this time again to avoid that.
