A good variety on the menu. The only downside was that the food took longer to come out then we thought it should. Maybe it was the choice of dish that I had requested. I had sopes with spicy pork. It might have taken time to get those tortillas set up and cooked to perfection. I had never had anything like that before but had sold on a menu at another restaurant and said I would have to give it a shot the next time I was in a Mexican restaurant. The spicy pork really said at all, and the tortilla that I chose was the excellent and appropriate choice for that. It stayed crispy and crunchy throughout the entire meal. I did not have to worry about a soggy tortilla with the filling falling through the bottom. I had rice and refried beans to go along with it. The dish was topped with lettuce tomato and sour cream. The salsa choices they had were an avocado crema, and a red tomato sauce. Both were spicy. My daughter tried both of them and said that she was glad that the tortilla which was flour and topped with barbacoa and rice and cheese was juicy enough where she did not have to have the salsa. She had rice and refried beans as well. That was the first time she had them, and she ate more than I thought she would. She was looking for all of the amenities that you would find at a Chipotle, but was surprisingly satisfied with the dishes, and asked when we could return to the place for lunch again. Prices were reasonable, and a huge variety including non-traditional dishes like burgers, chicken nuggets, and fries. They also had mole, soups, cocktail shrimp, among other things. They only had one table clean at the time so that helped us narrow down choices of...
Read moreWent here last night with my parents. My dad ordered the hamburger and my mom ordered the nachos. My mom told the lady that on the hamburger, he wanted lettuce and mustard, and of course, the mean and bun ONLY. After about a 15 min wait, we received the food. I have no idea what they brought my mom, but it was not nachos, so they fixed it. On my dads, he took 1 bite and spit it out. When he opened it, it had lettuce, mustard, mayonnaise and ketchup. My dad WILL NOT EAT MAYO! So when we called the lady over, we told her that it had mayonnaise on it (we werent gonna complain about the ketchup cause even though he didnt want it, he wouldnt have still eaten it). Her response was (in Spanish... which my mom also told her in spanish) "you didn't tell me that you didn't want mayonnaise on it". My mom replied to her... "no, cause I didn't know it did. I told you that he ONLY wanted mustard and lettuce on it". All she said was that she was sorry, but yeah, it does come with it. We were all baffled. We didn't think we had to voice EVERY ITEM that we DID NOT want on it. Only the items that we did want. They refused to remake the burger... and yes, trust me, I asked 2 different people. He ended up wiping everything off with napkins, took 2 more bites and was done. He just couldn't do it. If you hate the taste of mayo, then I'm sure you understand this. I've been here a few times but after last night, I'm not sure I will be back again. Horrible...
Read morePre-Covid - This is my GO-TO restaurant for tacos, because they have some of the best mexican style tacos, and its also near my home.
During Covid - I have gone recently and have noticed they have not changed anything to prevent the spread of germs. Other than putting up a small bottle of hand sanitizer on the counter. Anyone cooking in the back, the 2 ladies that own the place I assume, are not wearing masks, gloves, etc. Handling cash/cards from the front and don't wash hands.
Will NOT be going back until theres a vaccine. Should've cancelled my order, hoping I don't get sick in the...
