Q Donuts — Restaurant in Plano

Best donuts I’ve had in DFW. The batter is light, just like Japanese donut shops I used to frequent on my trips to Japan. I used to go to a Japanese chain called Mr Donut on my food vacations. I remember missing them so much! But now I’ve found a replacement for them at Q donuts! The lady working there is super nice too! I highly recommend getting there early before all the fun flavors run out!

For reference, in comparison to Donut Palace, fat Straws mochi donuts and dunkin, this place has a lighter and crunchier donut texture. It’s just really good, and you’re gonna have to believe me because I’m not eating something that’s bad for me unless it’s AMAZING. I’m also pregnant as heck and picky as hell...

Frequented this donut hole during my childhood and teen years in min 2000s. When I had other donuts from other establishments, I thought they were trash compare to my ‘average’ Q donut.

This place was just that good that my views on donut standards were set so very high.

Since moving away, I dream of just one more donut.

Visiting in 2016 and 2023, I traversed to Q Donuts for another ride and the quality hasn’t dropped. Same fam is behind the counter, same menu board I recognize from my youth and that same taste and freshness I have come to expect and desire when I see other inferior donuts.

This is truly the best donut place I’ve ever been to. I’ve gone here specifically for over 10 years now and the donuts and service have been consistency beyond exceptional. Currently I live in Dallas and still drive 16 miles to visit this donut shop. Many people have commented about the phenomenal glazed donuts, but another amazing hidden gem are the blueberry cakes! They’re always so fresh and the glazing on them is just perfect. Also, since I have been coming here they have had the same staff who are all just fantastic and provide amazing customer service.
