To be fair, I’ll state that tentative service from staff was given , after i immediately requested it at the bar well area, when I arrived. My furry dog companion needed water, as did I, on an unexpected delay in scheduling leaving us to idle in the industrial area. I am gracious for the bowl of iced water given for my dog. I also order a beverage from there options , to help pass the time I had to kill.. a. Fair expense for using their back patio table. After 20 mins, my dog and I loaded up for the rest of our day. I left a nice tip of $10 for a $8.11 beverage and one time effort of water bowl and use of a table we didn’t dirty. There was also a cash tip of $11 given to my waitress before I left. As I was loading my dog up, a young man came out from behind their exterior dumpster rapidly approaching close to my vehicle and immediately started panhandling for $$ and stating he just got of prison for “jacking a car”. I quickly calmly deflected and redirected him by mentioning you look hot and thirsty.. and that I could get him some water .. he quickly followed me inside Hooters. I rushed to the bar well again, and asked for manager’s to address this accretive young man .. the bartenderess responded “what do you want me to do about it?”.. as if not caring about a customer’s safety. I begged if a manager could at least distract him, so I could quickly get into my car, with him jumping in and possibly doing a “unauthorized borrowing “ of my vehicle too. Which I was able too. Odd quick experience at this location. But every business has days like this from time to time, as I thought. I have the original “$18.11” receipt of what I signed for and the tip I authorized.
It’s been Two days since that brief visit to that Hooters location . Today, I wake to a change in the authorization amount.. another $10 was added to my original “tip”. Now totaling “$28.11”.. for one quick beverage and fountain water. I am very disturbed with this alarming behavior. Obviously dispute resolution process has been immediately initiated. I’m anxious now, as to what to expect will be unauthorized additions will be added each day to my card.
Maybe a bigger spotlight , some grace from the public with patients is what is necessary to motivate “care” and correct professionalism to this location. We all need some course corrections from time to time. None of us need “hate” and destructive...
Read moreUsed to like this location. Lately it is poorly managed and has terrible customer service. Have had one okay experience in three tries post-pandemic and they won't be getting a fourth. If I place a To Go order on your website, I expect to get what I paid for. Mistakes happen, but on the previous visit an entire entree item was simply forgotten. No apology,no concern. "You can come back to the restaurant in x minutes and pick it up if you want, I guess." No, don't think I will.
Gave them one more try (months later mind you). Placed online order. Not complicated. One appetizer and two entrees. Order confirmed and instructions to pick up in 30 minutes. Weeknight, not weekend. Store not busy. Arrive with two minutes until pick up time. Ask if order ready and give name. Waitress barely looks around and says "Nope, don't see it." She walks off. She doesn't go check with the kitchen, just walks away. Ten minutes go buy, still no order. Still standing at the hostess desk waiting. Walk further into the store and even customers are wondering what is going on. Manager finally comes out and says, "We are having problems with our online system." Doesn't offer seat or drink while it gets sorted, apology, or discount. Just walks to the back. Ten more minutes go by and people who have arrived after me have ordered, been served, some are finishing. Ask again what gives with the order. "They are getting it started now."
Ordered at 7:39 pm. Arrived at 8:07. They are STARTING the order at 8:37 pm. Nope. Cancel the order. No apology. No customer service. Response to Yelp is same every bad review. We strive to provide a good customer experience. Hmmm, they have consistently failed at same for over a year. I think I would know. I've eaten at 247 different Hooters restaurants between April 1991 and today. Plano location has gone from middle of the...
Read moreI have to preface this review by saying I was a Hooter’s Girl years ago in my home state of Florida and original home of Hooter’s. It’s sad to see the standard is not there anymore. My Family and I have frequented this location for over 14 years and the experience has always been up and down .Tonight was the final straw which is why I’m taking the time to write this. We walked in and stood for at least 10 minutes while countless servers and employees walked up to the hostess stand to use the computer and didn’t bother to look up to say hello or that “someone will be with you shortly” There was a security guy leaning in the corner, looking miserable which is already so off putting. I’ve never seen security at a Hooter’s and wondered if he’s just waiting for a takeout order. We waited and waited, while the hostess who saw us waiting, ever so rudely ordered a family to follow her. After she took her time to return to the front, while visiting with other employees, she didn’t bother saying hello and scoffed “it’s a 20 minute wait” hoping we would say it’s ok, and leave which we did. We had no problem waiting if we were treated with the tiniest bit of common courtesy. This location has gone downhill and it’s sad because we have been patrons for over 14 years. There were so many unbussed, dirty tables and also so many open tables so not sure why she would tell us 20 min. There were only 3 of us. She clearly didn’t want to be bothered. I realize they may have been short staffed but they could act like they care about their patrons. The Hostess is the face & reputation of an establishment and she definitely needs to realize that. It’s clear it’s lacking proper management on a Saturday evening as well. For reference it was 8:45 p.m. on Saturday 11/5 not necessarily “peak”...
