The Carne Kebab Arroz was grilled to satisfaction. Please understand that this is genuinely South Asian cuisine - distant relative to Adana Kebap or Koobideh Kabob in some aspects.
The Carne Bihari Arroz could have spent a little more time on the purported charcoal grill. It had some traces of gristle, which is definitely a "no-no" for any Bihari Kebab. Instead of dousing the kebab in marinade, the right blend for Bihari kebab was present, and the grilling did touch but not penetrate the meat -- definitely above average but with a little effort (and chef's desire) could rank as excellent in the future.
The kitchen staff should spend a little more time trimming the meat, and management will realize that customers don't mind paying just a little extra for properly dressed proteins.
Very limited menu and surprisingly low prices. One supposes if one needs a limited choice of kebabs for a catered event, Kebab Uncle merits serious consideration.
The Familia Charolla is excellent value but we made the mistake of supplementing it with Carne Bihari. Sadly unlike the one that we tried earlier this time around it was below expectations in the critical aspects - a little dry, overly spicy (that is not an issue except that our family included young 'uns), insufficiently grilled, poorly trimmed, etc. The Lamb Shank hit all the bells and even the young 'uns wanted more.
There is an Allergy Notice at the website and we thank management for...
Read moreWe were very disappointed with their Ramadan special. First and foremost, the food is mediocre at best. If you really want delicious kabobs, try Lahori Kabob or Beba BBQ. These guys don't know how to make authentic Pakistani kabobs! Adding insult to injury, they give you a 25-cent pita, not even a Naan. Any authentic kabob place will never serve kabobs without Naan. That is insulting the intelligence of the customer.
Further, as Muslims, they do not have the courtesy to include at least a date and samosa, especially if they call it a Ramadan box. This proves the point that either they lack customer service or are very cheap. When you charge $15 per dinner box, you should provide taste and value. Otherwise, you are cheating the customer, especially in Ramadan. On the contrary, Beba BBQ has a similar Ramadan dinner box, which has much better food, including kabobs, and they include a generous iftari, including samosas, etc, for $11.99. Case in point, we were not impressed with Kebab Uncle, instead go to Lahori Kabob...
Read moreWe catered food from Kabob Uncle for a 200-person iftar during Ramadan, and it was an incredible experience! We ordered their Ramadan Iftaar Platter, and the food was a huge hit with everyone. The menu included Beef Kebab, Chicken Kebab, Grilled Chicken, Fried Fish, Qeema, Rice, Naan, and Gulab Jaman—everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared.
The Fried Fish was a standout; everyone raved about how delicious it was. The kebabs were juicy and well-seasoned. The Gulab Jaman was a great treat to end the meal.
The food was plentiful, and there was more than enough for everyone. Kabob Uncle delivered on time, which made the entire process smooth and stress-free.
If you’re looking for catering for a large event or just want amazing food, Kabob Uncle is the place to go. They made our iftar stress less and great, and highly recommend them!
Inshallah we plan to do one more...
