1/15 Update: TLDR: will not return again. Another crawfish place with inconsistent quality. What a shame.

I had good experience with their frozen crawfish back in November, now crawfish is in season I decided to return although knowing the crawfish size would be small since it’s very early in the season. Big mistake. I ordered lemon pepper, and it was extremely salty but overall the flavor was good. But that wasn’t the main thing for me to downgrade their rating from 5-star to 1-star. Majority of the crawfish was mushy and the inside of the head was grayish-green, it had a yucky taste that I can’t quite describe but “not fresh” was one thing that kept coming into mind. I stopped eating half way through and tossed the rest into the trash. Now I just hope I won’t get an upset stomach from it. I wonder they just didn’t pick out the dead ones before they cooked it. I understand the current climate is tough and everything costs more, but this kind of practice is putting customer’s health at risk and they will end up losing more customers by saving cost.

11/13 Update: Came back for the second time and updating my review to 5-star to support local small business. I got shrimp boil this time in all-in-one flavor (I assume they don’t have live crawfish because it’s not in the season but I could be wrong). It’s still a little more buttery than I’d like, BUT fresh lime juice would help canceling out the butteriness. I think the flavor got better than my first time here! Definitely will return again.

Had crawfish boil here for the first time, got all-in-one flavor, the flavor is good but it could be better if they go easy on the butter. The butter kind of masks all the other good flavors.

A friend of mine suggested this place months ago, but I figured it was a pretender... I Was Wrong! This Place Is Legit! Honey, I was born & raised in New Orleans and this has Legit Recipes from Home! I didn't meet the owners, but the staff say they are from NOLA! I was in the mood for fried catfish and it was good! Tender white fish with a crunchy and flavorful batter. My husband had the same and really enjoyed the meal. We had beignets. They were pretty good. I do think a pinch of salt was needed. All sweets need to be balanced. But the seafood is the star of the show here! My Goodness, my husband and I stared at the menu choosing what we are going to have next time & the time after that & the time after that, etc! There are crabs, oysters, shrimp and crawfish (that's Craw-Fish & not crayfish! I need to set the record straight for everyone that didn't grow up back home & don't know how to pronounce it. Lol!) And if you don't like seafood, there are wings and chicken and sausage gumbo! It feels like the attitude of Laissez les bon temps rouler is there because that's how I felt while there. This was my first time going to this establishment. My mom mentioned that it seemed like it was always busy and I was craving a seafood boil so I went ahead and gave it a try. I’m HUGE on customer service… when people spend money at your establishment when they don’t have to, I expect someone to at least say “Hello” when I walk in at the bare minimum. I walked in and the young lady at the counter just looked at me and then looked back down and continued to make her phone call. Mind you I was 1 of 2 people in the whole restaurant! Then right after a woman came from the back and just said “Hold on” & then went back into the kitchen. I decided right there that I wouldn’t be back. I ordered in advance online and it stated 20 minutes then when I got there I still had to wait. After finally getting my food and the nonexistent customer service I opened the bag in my car and the food was like warm even after waiting additional time in the restaurant!
