Plano High Point Park — Attraction in Plano

Went there for a softball tournament. Parking is horrible. The spaces are very tight and still there isn't enough of it in proximity to fields. Access to Alma is one way (north) when exiting. Must be a traffic nightmare for the apartments across the way with so many making u turns at their entrance. Then, City of Plano says, "No music permitted." -for a kids tournament. THE GOOD Pretty nice park! Went for the first time to watch my nephew play soccer. Parking is pretty ample as it was a busy morning for games. The grass also looked well cared for. Just keep in mind that there isn't a lot of shade, so enjoy that Texas sun and get your tan on!

THE BAD I wish the website and the park itself actually labeled the fields. Finding the right field for my nephew's game necessitated a lead time of about 10-15 minutes upon arrival.

There are a lot of parks in the northern DFW area where you can play team sports or hold official team practices, but we've always had really good results with quality of field turf, allocation of space, accessibility of facilities, and post game or practice meeting places for time with friends. The facilities at High Point Park seem a bit newer and very clean which is always nice even if they're not brand new. I would highly recommend these fields for any outdoor...
