Apparently this is a very popular place for those in the area that know about it. The place isn't terribly big but there is a decent amount of sitting. If traffic moves at a respectable pace for those coming in, you should be able to find seating.
They were very busy behind the counter as there was a steady and busy stream of customers coming in. There wasn't anyone cleaning tables as they were all doing something in order prep. I do feel it would be a good idea to figure out the cleaning process as drinks and deserts were spilled on tables and was not pleasant to not be able to put our drinks and things on our table because it was so sticky.
They have a pretty big menu of unique items I personally have never heard of or tried, outside of the teas. I asked about a couple items and the kind young lady at the register explained it to me and then offered me a small sample as I was paying for my order.
They do a order number call but are not very loud when they do this so you have to pay attention. It makes it a bit harder to understand as they are all wearing masks as well. The mask wearing is not a bad thing, just makes it difficult to hear and understand order number call outs.
It was very busy on this day as there was a festival going on in the parking lot, or maybe it's often like this on weekends. It's in a shopping center with several Chinese restaurants and desert shops. I would be interested in coming back and trying other...
Read moreSo refreshing! I stopped by to study and grab an icy treat on a hot summer day and I was not disappointed! There was easy parking and plenty of room to sit around 3pm, and I didn't even have to wait in line! Ordering was a little confusing, but you basically order up front and grab a buzzer, which will go off when your order is ready for you to pick up at the counter. Took a little longer than I thought to prepare my shaved ice, but when I picked it up, I realized why - it was a mountain of food art!
My boyfriend and I ordered an Almond Pudding Shaved Ice per another yelper's recommendation and omg - GET THIS. It was almost too heavy for me to carry to my table since it's supposed to feed 3-4 sharing. The shaved ice was sitting on a bed of a super creamy, milky ice cream and was surrounded by a variety of mochi and puddings! The mochi was super chewy and added a subtle depth of flavor to the shaved ice, which was finely shaved and dissolved very easily in my mouth. We scarfed the whole thing down in minutes, so make sure to take your pics fast before your treat is gone!
The atmosphere was really laid back and the music was conducive to chatting with friends or getting some work done. I even heard some "Despacito" and J Biebs in the mix. I'll definitely be back to try more of what Meet Fresh...
Read moreThis place used to be OK but now a total rip off for the quality of food and service you get for their inflated price. I ordered a hot red bean soup (with taro balls, taro and boba - item B) and it was an underwhelming bowl of disappointment. The red bean “soup” turned out to be a red bean flavored sugar water (I’m sorry, calling this a ‘soup’ is seriously an overstatement considering how watered down it was) with a mere 2 pieces of small cooked taro and few bobas. Umm $10+ for this?! I understand things dont always look like the photos but this one was just awful.. lacking in taste AND in quantity. (I realized that someone below also left a similar disappointing review as me)
To make matter worse, I immediately noticed that my bowl was missing taro balls** and after checking the menu twice, I walked up to the side counter to ask the staff and she carelessly handed me a styrofoam bowl with 6 small taro balls. No acknowledgment , apologies or anything.
If you don’t pay attention to what you ordered, you might just end up with a wrong order or an incomplete bowl in which you fully paid for. Please train your staff better.
I want to support local asian businesses but Meet Fresh Plano is no longer one of them due to their lacking...
