Really delicious. The menu is limited, which I think is a good idea as it allows the chef to add and remove items. The Suppli de Teli risotto balls are not your typical Arancini floating in tomato sauce. Your first bite is a mouthful of flavor with a slightly vinegary, black pepper, delicately cheesey and risotto flavor. Don't miss the cheese smear under the Suppli. It adds a light sweetness to the peppery bites. Truly an excellent appetizer. We also had the Polpette appetizer with a deep meaty flavor in the meatball and a delicious tomato ragu reminiscent of Sunday gravy in it's depth of flavor. They offer a meatball sandwich with these meatballs; we will be trying that! For our meals we had Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and the Cocoletta (veal chop). The Alfredo sauce is made in the Italian style. Rather than cream, it is made with cheese and pasta water. Really delicious. The pasta was perfectly al dente with a great chew and topped with black truffle 😘. The veal chop was cooked to your preference and huge! Mine was med rare and was seasoned perfectly. I never even looked for salt or pepper. Delicious! The baby potatoes were crispy and perfectly seasoned and the asparagus was baby finger sized and grilled well. We were too full for dessert. The wine offering is small, but well curated. We had no alcohol this time. Highly...
Read moreWhat- where- how? It’s as if this place just sprung from no where! Okay- the appetizers: we ordered the stuffed risotto balls and the Veal meatballs. The meatballs basically melt in your mouth and the risotto balls are basically heavenly explosions of flavor that take you straight to flavor town. That’s right- I said it. You want to try a different salad? Try the OG Roman Caesar salad with chicory lettuce. Chicory?? Yeah, dude, chicory… in a salad. It’s bitter, but the house made dressing brings it all together. But if you’re not crazy about the bitter salad- which let’s face it- it’s not everyone’s cup of tea- there is the lemon arugula salad which is FIRE. I had the braised ox tail gnocchi as an entree and all I can say is if you try nothing else on the menu- this is the thing you must try. 100% hands down my favorite thing we ordered. Oh- did I mention the insanely good shrimp? Or the steak marinated in Zip sauce? Unreal. Everything was cut and prepared and plated with thought and care and is clearly meant to be shared tapas style. The Negroni was good as well as the Chianti. Okay enough- I’ll 110% be...
Read moreWow. This is, without question, the best pasta I have encountered in years. The seafood fettuccini is a veritable feast—a rich, luxurious dish loaded with an abundance of perfectly cooked shrimp, clams, and crab. The quality and generosity of the ingredients elevate this dish far beyond the standard offering.
Furthermore, this establishment earns high marks for its care toward dietary restrictions. My celiac guest enjoyed a gluten-free pasta option and consumed it with no ill effects, confirming that the preparation is both delicious and safe.
For anyone seeking an exceptional, authentic pasta experience—or needing reliable and tasty gluten-free accommodations—this restaurant is...
