Before I get into things, I want to say that the manager took care of everything and was very helpful. Ok with that out of the way, my friend and I took our wives out for an early mother's day dinner to Chili's. When we got there, there was us another couple and finally one last couple. While this was happening the staff was cleaning a table right in front of the door. The last couple in the door was ushered to that table and they sat down. When the hostess came back, my friends wife made a comment to the hostess about her seating out of order. The response she got was "I know". On the way to our table we passed another host, that's when things started getting a little heated. I told the host to have the manager come to our table. He replied back to me with "why!!" in a very threatening manner. Well I'm not one to back back down from a fight, so I stepped up to him and said "because I said so, you got a problem with that?" I then got to my table and asked the waiter to have the manager come to our table. I very seriously doubt the idiot host spoke to the manager. When the manager came out within an adequate amount of time, we talked about what happened. She was very happy that I let her know what happened and she apologized. Later just before we were going to leave, the manager came back with an update which I will not say what she said, but trust me things were taken care of and we left satisfied. Read moreThe staff was more interested in talking amongst themselves instead of seeing if we needed anything. When we first sat down and ordered drinks, I decided I wasted something more relaxing than when I had ordered, so I asked for that as well. I got an eye roll, and off she went. I think they must not stock the items because she must have had to go to the store to get them. We had our food before it showed up, and yes, I asked how it was going twice. Someone in our party of three adults got the rib, and I really like their ribs... not the best, but when you are at Chilli's, they are a good choice. Unfortunately, this time, they just tasted like they had been boiled and then had sprites of sauce on them. When it came to trying to get the bill, I had to wave my hand with no avail because once again, all the employees were talking with each other. In two different groups. One group by the kitchen door was laughing and having a great time. The other three to five by the POS system were to focused on their conversation to see that we wanted the bill, much less refills anytime during our meal. I started to stand up, and that is when I was noticed. I know Chili's gives a military discount, but when she came with the bill, we just wanted out of there. It was not on the bill, and I will say she might not have heard us. I do not live in the area on the Chili's, but the others do, and we talked about this. Read more11/02/17 Sat at the bar cause it was only me. The bartender was very sweet but very overwhelmed taking care of the restaurant to pay attention to her own guests. Ordered a 10oz sirloin med rare with broccoli and asparagus. The steak was med well i can live with that i guess. But the veggies were not only not steamed but literally out of the fridge onto the plate. Sent the broccoli back, 15 min later after i was finished with my meal the exact same cold uncooked broccoli was returned to me on the same plate you could still see the salt i put on them. Was there about an hour never once seen a mgr. Anywhere in the dining area or bar.
You guys are way to busy every night at this location to be this understaffed every night. This is my third time here and my third ok to poor experience. I wont be back, but i hope this makes it to chili's corp. So they can get you guys some help. The oilfield is back and your packed every night time to fix your staffing.
Oh and the poor guy next to me ordered a app. Trio and he ate most of it to get to the last mini burger to find the bottom of the bun completely covered in mold. Poor guy...
